The antenna is about to break off any moment on my j30 because the previous owner drove through a car wash with it up and it got bent but i was able to bend it back to look straight but it does not go down since its bent at the bottom so im wondering if i just remove it will the stations still work and sound fine or no? I really dont like the look of it and rather remove it. Also if i just take it off do i have to put some kind of sealant in the hole so water dont go in?

No and yes, in that order. You may still have reception but it will be crappy, and rust never sleeps.

The water is gonna go somewhere. Letting it in anyplace is never a good idea.

There is also a "window antenna" , Bose system has TWO antenna circuits in it's cable....one to rear power ant......the other 'line' to the built-in windshield antenna ! ! I'm not sure if it 'knows' which to utilize - may be whether power ant is up or down (down switched to window ? ya know) . The Bose ant plug has TWO prongs.

Why not just replace the antenna assembly?
