I thought about what I wanted and how old ka24de's are becoming, the other choices are just too pricey. I used to do alot of KA engine swaps into datsun 510's, so that was high on my list. I would have to 1st find a swap, then rebuild the engine and trans like you did. I also saw that no one was doing QR swaps and thought, why not? I was able to find a 2018 nissan frontier that someone was parting out with 105k miles that ran perfectly and was auto trans. I wanted the vehicle to run like it was factory tuned, no driveability concerns. He wanted $2500 for the swap if I pulled it, which gave me the ability to gather all the connectors and misc hoses that I needed. It runs and drives so good! I can cruise at highway speeds without concern (after regearing). when the day comes where im not satisfied with the power, then turbo-ing is still on the table.

side note: I was considering using a front wheel drive QR engine because of availability and cost, until I found this swap.

Hi there fellow Atlas owners. @seed2leaf can you recommend an AC unit to install on my 93 firetruck? As far upgrading to 15” Frontier wheels, is there a specific year range of the Frontier I should be looking for? Is 15” the largest we can go without rubbing? Love your build! Super cool. Thanks!
i went to beforward.jp and found the factory ATLAS dash box for sale(used), it was close to $500 to buy it plus shipping. Then I bought an ebay aftermarket A/C system and hose crimp tool, then made the lines that I needed. It was like $1200 for everything but having a working defogger and AC from the proper dash vents is pretty great!

My engine was the NA20s, since doing an engine swap, I am no longer using the aftermarket compressor and custom engine mounting bracket, willing to sell it if interested.

So my 93 blew a rod. Going up and down a valley with a decent slope, hauling a load. Leaned out.

I have two more units that were going to lift the cab off of and drop a 6.4L Hemi out of a dodge 2500. I'll post more pictures etc when they're done this summer.

The 93 is getting the extra motor I have ready to go from my S14. If anyone is ever looking for replacement windshields. I have 7 extras in a sea can for my own use. (Able to sell)

The fleet grows slowly.
