2005 Maxima 3.5SL Auto. Engine removal guide

Hi everyone, I plan on removing my engine for my 05 maxima because it needs a timing job and headgaskets. I have been doing research but haven't found much look on a guide / manual on the procedure of either removing the motor through bottom or top and I was wondering if anyone could please link me a manual or write out steps. It is my first engine removal and I am excited to start. I appreciate any and all help

Removal from the top is extremely difficult. The easiest way is to drop the subframe out the bottom with the engine and transmission still attached. There's a complete FSM for your car here in Nico, you'll find the engine removal stuff in the EM (Engine Mechanical) section:

Found it thank you so much! It definitely helps with engine assembly but I was wondering if there is a guide of some sort to drop the motor out of the bottom? Or is it pretty self explanatory if I watch a video for any vq / v6 removal? Thank you again

For the most part, a vid for any FWD VQ35 will have all the same steps. The only one that's somewhat different is the Quest, because it's in there with a shoehorn. In broad terms, a vid for a Murano, R52 Pathy, or V6 Altima will be almost identical to your ride.
