1999 Nissan maxima GLE Ok so here it is. I have the p1320 code and after testing the coils, condenser and connections turns out the back 3 coils are getting 12 volts while the front 3 only get 8 volts! Can some one please shed some light as to what could be the problem please? TIA

The '95~'99 VQ30 Maximas had a serious issue with fatigued wires in the Engine Harness due to poor routing/restraint. There's a good chance your problem is a failing wire:

If I had a broken cable shouldn’t I have 0 voltage read instead of 8volts ??

The 8V reading indicates resistance in the power path. That's what happens to a fatigued wire before it breaks, the resistance rises as the strands fail one by one. I don't know where you placed the black probe when you measured, but if your black and red were across the coil connector, then the problem could also be in the ground wire. To determine which, measure from the power lead of a coil to battery ground. If that reads the same 8V then the problem is in the 12V circuit, if it reads battery voltage then the problem is in the coil ground circuit.
