Hello.
First time in this forum.

My stop lights are not working. A mechanic suggested changing the brake switch and cleaning the contacts and the bulbs. I verified the latter and did the two first to no avail. Then, I tested voltage between the battery and the brake switch and I have 12.7V. I need to continue troubleshooting for voltage and continuity between the stop switch and the SMJ (Super multiple junction).

Now, my question, where in the car is this SMJ? I have consulted the FSM (PG, LT) and others, and the location of this SMJ is on the left side (LH) apparently near the ECU, the diagram indicates this is a white connector with between 80 and 110 terminals identified with a letter and a number (1A to 100A) depending on the model and production date.

Can anyone make a picture of this famous SMJ connector in the main harness, so slick that I could not find any articles, videos, photos or helpful guide to locate in in my car. Thanks in advance. I am not a mechanic, obviously.

It's not easy to get at on the older Versas, it's tucked way up in the driver's side dash. You may not be able to see it without removing the lower dash. Locate the big grommet where the Engine Room Harness goes through the firewall, then follow the big bundle up and to the left. That will lead you to the E7 side of the SMJ. IIRC, on some of them it was bolted sideways into the fender cavity, so you may need to take a 10mm screw loose to pull it out of the wall.
