You should take another video, but this time bouncing off limiter, like this!

Well got the radiator mounted properly, and got the two upper braided radiator hoses minus one fitting which will be here tommorow, all i have to do to drive it at this point is make a water inlet for the water pump and thats it. Im gonna try and figure that out tommorow.

I agree that this thread is pretty damn cool. I think that vid of the car bouncing off the rev limiter was with the computer in limp/error mode where it won't let you go over 3K rpm. And those red valve covers are sexy. I'm about to tear into my spare VH and will probably go with red covers too... and megasquirt with a home built intake.

As the selfproclaimed first person to stick a vh45 in an s chassis in florida, Welcome to the club. Very nice work! If you`re curious what it sounds like with a flowmaster check this out http://videos.streetfire.net/v...9.htm We also have a z32 transmission, but an n/a. A/C was a nogo in the s13 chassis. we were able to use the ps in the stock location just modified the tension rod bracket. There is a pic of it in the car here http://www.ellisautoworkz.com/450SX.htm . Not as nice as your`s, it was deffinatly a budget build, hell the car was only $600. The motor is making 225 hp at 800 rpm at the rear wheels. It`s plain sick to drive,

Once again, sweet build. Can`t wait to see it one day. BTW, we are in Tampa.

RPM at cruising speed, i have no idea, havent connected the tach yet lol.

As far as hos does it feel , well its a very interesting sensation. The car has this surge of power off idle, and then it kind of levels out then at higher rpms it has a second surge of power till it hits the limiter.

If you're running the stock ECU I should set you up with an upgraded ECU. It turns the thing into a SCREAMER.

Id expect anywhere from 20-30HP, however the powerband is different. Basically you dont get that "sinking" feeling in the middle, it starts off strong and once you get to about 3500 the thing just starts pulling like a freight train.

Our ECU's are switchable so you can switch between stock and upgraded.

How's that tach man. I'm dying to know the cruising speed also because I can get a sweet deal on a vh45.

what cross member did you end up using for the transmission? and would that driveshaft fit the s13 chassis? it should... just making sure though. also curious how much it ran you. or what the dimensions of it were.

thanks in advance

How did you get the tach to work? Did you have to get it recalibrated or is there a way to make it work with the infiniti ECU? I think when I do my swap the RPM's are gonna be a tad lower since I put the Q45 3.54 R200 into my S14 (man it sure kills the KA..it's torquey enough to not strain but man it's a dog....but the gas mileage improved)

Doesn't the tach get its signal from the ignitor chip? If so, the VH uses two just like a pair of 4 cylinders. Hook up the tach input to one of them and you should be good to go.

You anwsered your own question.

A quick search would tell you that, its the same engine with a revised chain guide
