I can respect economic reasons. I can respect the lack of an aftermarket for this engine. I could've let a lot of things slide...The only reason I'm making a big deal about this is because not only did they say the cams where coming but the gave us a teaser of what was to come. (The photo and description on the first page of this thread) They could have just left it to a swap kit but they said that the new 272 cams would appear with time. And I just waited.... but not for this. Stay true to your word.

Now we all know that stuff happens and I can respect that too. All the hype they're building and customer base they are building through this forum I understand why the cams where thrown out there, but if you can't do it just say so. Don't throw out some mysterious regrind and hope that'll do.

Wes, they will not work.

EMK, sorry we disappointed you. We can make custom cam billets for you if you are willing to pay $3500 for the set. Just like Superhatch said, it's a matter of economics.

hey mark i have your mount kit and i sunderstand that the cams would be expensive, but is that a one time developement cost or could we start up a group buy? what options do the guys have that want to take this swap to the next level and not with some regrinds! cause if so i could start a group buy thread, all i would need is some input from you lmk thanks

Thanks for letting us know what was going on. Seriously I'm not trying to be difficult or anything. I just would perfer to know ahead of time what was happening. For what I just read it looks like you guys can and will sell the cams you said were coming just at a higher than expected price. That's perfectly fine.... from my memory the price was never specified in the first place so it's not a big deal. All I wanted was some type of update as to why I saw what I saw on the site ahead of time. I honestly wouldn't go after the cams at that price but now that I have the information that it's available it allows me to make that choice. I'd still like to see what type of gains come from them.

Like I said I understand why they cost more. I can respect that. I understand the reason for offering a lesser product that is more cost effective. I can respect that. Just wanted to know what was going on when I saw the cams and wouldn't have been disappointed about it had I known it was coming ahead of time.

Mazworx is still a pioneer in a market that a lot of us are happy to see being created and just as soon as I get my VH you may be seeing me order a few items. Keep it up...just with less surprises next time. The economy has that taken care of.

There's a ****load of machining involved with making cams from raw roundbar.

dude my brother is a cnc programmer it's alot of math and r&d but if someone can figure the math or build a prototype then work the bugs out it's all downhill from there! and if anyone can pioneer that or have the contacts to do it, its mazworx! so keep us posted. I'm interested in cams and valvetrain i just don't want regrinds and i want to spend the money with mazworx!

In my opinion, the Z should have came with a V8 from the factory right from the get go. Leave the Twin Turbo in Japan and just offered it with the VH45DE right from the get go. Those who wanted a TT would have had to import one, just like the guys that want SR20DETs.

I think it would have made more sense from a marketing perspective, after all, this is the land of muscle. The only problem is it would have made the average US buyer lump it together with the Corvette. But even then, the VH could have competed with the LT1 all day long.

Me?? I could be your daddy...J/K....I've been here enough to know that this along with the ls engines are the new sr20s for a 240 swap and when ever a deal pops up someone jumps on it really quickly and it's gone just as fast. Have you checked out the other forums like v8nissans and silviav8.
