My vg30e has around 200k on it and was smokin a bit., so i have her torn down right now for a rebuild- After the machine shop does there thing it will still only be about a 3.1L.. I have been wanting to pick up a vg33e and just do a rebuild on that to get around 3.4L. Ive searched on the fourms, z31, 510 realm, ect, and havent found a straight answer. and i dont want to go source a vg33e if I cant make my parts work. so this is where Im at.

Carbed vg30e- using TBI intake manifold- ( not sure if the vg30e intake/water ports on the heads are the same as on the vg30e heads. I am running a electric fan with just a altinator off the crank so im sure i can make my crank pully work,- and I have a different oil pan, but im assuimg the oil pickup is the same as the vg30e so that should be a problem-

So if any one has some straight foraward info then shoot! Im waiting to order a rebuild kit..or go pick up a high millage vg33e and go that route- THANKS!!!!

hey thanks man! that helped out a ton! Ill just use the vg33e heads that i get on the engine... at this point.. the only last questin i have for any one is.. flywheel and clutch. i was just going to order i lightend flywheel and F1 stage 2 or 3 clutch for a z31... SOULD slide on to the vg33 crank....?

Found a high millage vg33e in sacramento, ca for 375.00-- so i am pretty sure i am going to get that this weekend and let the rebuild start!

is the crank on the 3.3 6 bolt? the Z31 uses a 6 bolt flywheel and the n/a uses a 225mm clutch iirc and the turbo uses a 240mm iirc (might be off on those sizes but the turbo is larger)

the input splines for all nissans are the same but the ring gears for the starters are different
