VG30DETT from Auto

I recently purchased a '91 300ZX shell that has the NA 5 speed in it. The only thing it is missing is the motor. My plan for this shell is to swap in a VG30DETT, but I can't find any off of a 5 speed Z32. I've searched around quite a bit on here and multiple other forums but have received no clear answer. I have seen that you can use a VG30DETT from an automatic (intake cams are a little different) but what else do I need? Which ecu and wiring harness would I need? Thanks for reading!

You can swap everything from the Auto into the NA but not vice versa. You will have to grind out the inside of the bell housing to fit the TT FW/clutch and you can run the ECU from an auto but I believe you will either get a CEL for the trans or you may have to jump a couple wires, i'm not entirely sure there, try looking through the everything you need to know sticky and more specifically the Z1 NA to TT swap guide.

Thanks for the response. I did read the z1 guide and the sticky but everything is talking about a pretty basic 5 spd tt into a 5 spd na, not a auto tt to 5 spd na. I know the bit about the trans bell housing so I'm planning on getting a tt 5 spd trans along with the swap. I plan on using a 5 spd tt ecu or having my current one upgraded by z1. Would I use the auto harness or manual harness? I feel like the obvious answer is manual harness but I've never done a swap and I'm just worried about ordering the wrong parts.

If you are going to NA you can use either harness. If you are ordering everything new than you should order the NA harness (94+) if you have the phase 2 injectors, otherwise when you end up swapping injectors you will need to get the upgraded pigtails.
