Alright, I can't find any solution for this, and Google doesn't yield any pages describing my problem. It's been happening for awhile now but I can't pin it down to any specific change in my computer. Whenever I scroll up or down with the mouse it's very jerky and like to scroll the opposite way as much as it does the right way. I've heard it may be a graphics card problem, but my card no longer gets any driver updates, so moot point if it is. Or maybe it's a problem with the actual mouse wheel?

I figured the best way is to just show you guys. Here's a gradual and normal scroll down on a page, and once I reach the bottom I continue scrolling down so you can see it want to pop back up.

I suspect your mouse wheel. I have a similar problem with one of my mice at work (though not to that degree).

Does your mouse have "loose" scroll notches? Try moving the wheel up and down in the space of a single notch. Does it scroll the page? If so, your mouse wheel is definitely the problem.

I have a similar problem and its definitely the mouse button. The scroll system doesnt seem to be calibrated with the notches so sometimes when I'm browsing a page and then stop, about 20 seconds later it will scroll up a little bit as it settles in. This is really annoying in games like CounterStrike where the scroll button switches your weapons. Get a new mouse and your problems will be over.

Alrighty, that's a simple fix then. Thanks for the input
