Versa on Heroes

I'm not crazy about the show, however, I started watching when we found out (it's posted somewhere else in this forum) that the car was featured.

Then my husband and son got hooked on the show. I never got 'save the cheerleader - save the world' but then hubby and son don't post on Nissan message forums either.

Oh you're right I'm new here so I have no idea what's been posted and what hasn't but the link I posted shows the graphic novel pix of the Versa as well.

I just got my Versa and was going for the Charcoal color but the Blue Oxyx was calling to me.

I think Heroes is a great show, it was a bit slow at first due having to develop so many characters, but I love X Men too, so I'm just into stuff like this. I'm also a Milo Fan [Peter Petrelli].

I had been driving a Murano and love the CVT, so then I wanted gas economy for my commuting so the Versa is perfect for me, esp with the gadgets, love that, is my first car with gadgets. I'm having so much fun with this car!

We have the Magnetic Gray. Hubby and son love Stargate and stuff like that. I just play on the computer when Sci-Fi is on!

Mine was Blue Onyx, it was the best color by far IMO. I loved the way it shined in direct sunlight, and the mysterious darkness it had in the shade. That, and it didn't ever look as dirty as a plain black car.

As lame as it sounds, Heroes was the reason I actually looked into buying, and eventually buying this car. So I guess their shameless product placement really worked on somebody.

I am SO hooked on Heroes! Hiro: "Nissan Versa! Nissan Versa!" kept going in my head when shopping for cars. So Yes it actually played a small part. I did reserach the Yaris and the Fit too - they just were not as safe and did not have what I wanted. So The Versa prevailed and I could not be happier

yeah i too am a fan of heroes. heck i even have the helix on my v and i got the same color as the one in the show, but heroes wasnt the reason i bought the car.

actually i have been looking at this car before it came out here in the US (before Heroes was even a show). so yeah i was eye-ing this beauty for almost 2 years before i saved money to buy it. i just fell in love with the features and the space when i read about it.

funny tho, i always get "did you buy that car because of 'heroes'?

Yea, I first heard of the Versa through the first season of Heroes. My fiance' wants me to get a sticker on the back window that says "YATTA!" (means - I did it in Japanese...Hiro's tagline).

The second season was all about the new Rogue. The Cheerleader got one then it was stolen. And then Syler and his mexican friends had one out in the middle of nowhere. I just found it funny that somehow everyone had a Rogue. The product placement of the Rogue in the second season was getting out of hand. Atleast in the first season with the Versa it was here and there.

In case you missed it, the Rogue that Sylar and Maya were tooling around in Mexico in WAS Claire's. It was stolen by the guy who gave them a lift down in Mexico (who ended up getting killed by Sylar, of course)

I thought that too, but after watching the season one DVDs, I noticed even more Versas.

I first wanted a Versa when I read about it in one of those auto magazine preview issues. But Heroes sold me on it.

I must of gotten up to get something and didn't pause it. I only remember it getting stolen and that was it.

I thought they were both gray (guess we'll need to wait for reruns or season 2 on DVD to confirm), but the tie-in was that the Rogue that Sylar was driving had a bumper sticker from Claire's high school on it.

If you get a chance, go back through season 1. There are actually a lot of other Nissans throught the different episodes. One that comes to the top of my head is the car that Peter was driving in the parking garage when he was trying to keep Claire safe. I think that was a Maxima.

Don't expect to see any reruns. According to industry insiders, we won't see Heroes again until the fall. (Stupid strike!)

No need to wait for the season 2 DVD. The episodes are still available on nbc.com, I think.
