I live in Arizona and in the winter time we get snowbirds or (old people from cold states). any way i am coming out of the post office and some old fart has his car door resting on my car. im pissed, but you don't want to beat up an old guy so i asked if he would like to get his door off of my car. he got all nervous and speed off. i had to buff my door handle but no other noticeable damage.

I agree with the disrespect part. I see no difference between someone hitting my car as they pull in or denting it with their door after they park, damage is damage. If I'm in the car or see it happen I ask for their insurance info. I will ask for compensation when there is damage done to my vehicle by carelessness, no matter the situation.

I was parked and my friend was opening the door to put stuff in my car. Unfortunately, she opened the door too fast and hit the van next to us, with 3 women in it. I don't believe a dent was left but you could not tell because of all the dents on this old van. The people in the car didn't do anything so we got ice cream while watching my car. I was thinking of moving my car for fear of them putting dents on my car. Fortunately, all they did was throw ice cream all over my car. Not as bad as it could have been.

My friend was telling them (through hand motions since they didn't even open a window) that there were no dents on the car and they just stared and then basically shrugged. I guess they didn't really know what to do.

My sister hit someone's plastic part of their wing mirror with the rear passenger door, no damage to them but I needed to use touch up paint, the 2nd day I had my car. And I asked her "do you have enough space to get out" and she replied yeah yeah yeah and then proceed to swing the door open really fast. There was lots of space but not enough for an idiot.

If you make something new and improved to make it fool-proof, they'll always come up with a new and improved fool.

About a month ago I was at work (I work part time at the local mall as my 2nd job) and the day goes by as usual. I come out and decide to check my car, just out of sheer curiousity or fear (you know how you get when you have something new). Low and behold, my passenger door has a dent and white paint scraped on it, but no white car in sight. I was so upset that day. The dent isn't severe, but i notice it quite easily. Now i just park very far out from the entrances and next to the concrete islands, just to be on the safe side.
