Very funny, and Vanessa you look so cute :D

If you still havent decided on which car to buy, I would recommend a Toyota Celica.

Subaru's are good, but they aren't as reliable as some other choices, namely of the honda/nissan/toyota families.

My Subaru was super reliable. I drove the thing like a damn Indy 500 car while starving it of oil due to the massive oil leak it had, and it still held up for 257,000+ miles.

FAIL!!!!!! That gen is easily the worst Celica ever made (probably one of the worst Toyota's ever made too). Ugly, s*** performance, mediocre mileage, no interior room, terrible blind spots. I HATE them.

What's up guys?

In the process of getting rid of everything. Sold my suspension bits to Phideux a few weeks back, still gotta get on listing the car and the wheels. After that I'm thinking either E28/E34 BMW or maybe a MkIV GTI? Hopefully I'll have enough cash for a lot of options lol.

e34 is an awesome car but it's going to be a lot of work, and expensive expensive expensive parts. The VW is a great choice...my bro has a MkIV VR6 GTI and the car is simply awesome! Very reliable too, he's had 1 issue and that was a blown fuse for one of the cooling fans. Freaking Germans and their electrical complexities lol. I would go with the 1.8t right now though, the way gas is.

If you are looking for a BMW with a V8 watch out for coolant leaks on the back of the block. That's usually the valley pan gasket, which is a lot of work (think we charge 7 or 8 hours at the dealership). Just something that's good to know, might turn out to be a bargaining chip for ya :)

My .02 lol

Well, Sarah is obviously the O.G. female 'round here, then there was Vanessa, then Tatiana. Maybe there were some more while I was gone, but that's the three I know of to date that actually posted actively.

And thanks for the tip man, I'm gonna assume you're a BMW tech? Lol. But yeah, you pretty much described my thinking as to why I should get a GTI, I just really don't wanna spend the money on the gas that M60 will drink. Plus I can make the same power out of the 1.8t with little effort :mike

Yupp I think gas is gonna be a real issue from now on...with all the hybrid vehicles coming out and all the treehugger politicians and lobbyists, we don't have nearly the same push from government to keep the prices down.

1.8t is awesome dude I've actually been considering getting one for a while lol.

And ya I'm a BMW tech...is fuuuuun LOL

Did you do their program? A good friend of mine became a tech out of high school, he had it made until the dealership he was at got bought out. The new owners were terrible managers of the service department (they didn't really believe in it, wanted to make all their money off leases) and he and the other 30 or so techs eventually got fired. He was making $72k as a 21 year old though.

Ya man I know somebody who's been there as a tech for 6 or 7 years, he made $97,000 last year. There's good money you just gotta know the tricks and you have to know which jobs are gravy and go for them lol

I have 7 weeks left in the 2 year associate degree program :)

So guys, just wondering how everyone has been lately.

I've been doing pretty well, just keeping my head up and rolling with the punches. I need a change of pace though.

So yeah, how's everyone else doing?
