I have a 2003 Infiniti I35 Sport with 130,000 miles.

I recently changed spark plugs, and I noticed the driver's-side cylinder on the back 3 cylinders (cyl 5 or 6, i believe) has oil building up in the deep well where the spark plug and spark plug electrode are installed. Before I go through the time-consuming project of replacing the o-ring for that deep well that goes between the engine head and the valve cover, is there a way I can help reseal that pressure boundary, so with some kind of compound or gel that can withstand the high temperatures of an operating engine and also not leak inside the valve cover and contaminate my oil?

What is the spark plug tube seal? How do I get one?

not sure for the VQ35, they may be made into the Valve Cover (might have to get a new VC...not sure).

I'm sure.
You do have to get a new valve cover as the seals are built into them and not available seperatly.
Do yourself a favour and order a 6th gen. Max cover. Waaay cheaper, and redesigned. Oh, and it works and fits perfectly.
