I know next to nothing about A/C systems. I'm learning as I go here, so here is the first part of my adventure.

Those are the 3. The third one should have a red stripe on it, it's dark and hard to see if it hasn't worn off yet. All 3 of those run up to the vacuum canister at some point, it looks like they were cut where they come up from the framerail (from the canister).

White goes between the manifold source and port M on the vac tank. This port should have a one-way valve built in to it. Blue goes between the water c*** and the magnet valve on the vac tank.Red goes between the interior door controls and a live feed from the tank, sometimes labeled as F.

No, you don't need to zip tie that back up. Heater core was bypassed when the car came in, JR didn't change any of that since he wasn't sure if the heater core leaked or not, and there was just so much other s*** to do at the time. That said, you don't need to hook vacuum up to that port anymore since... there's nothing to be controlled there anymore. same thing with that connector as well.

The vacuum lines are hooked up so that the AC will work. Problem is, going down the road it will lose vacuum like that, which is where the vacuum tank comes in. Should just be able to run the lines back o the tank.

Sorry for the following vacuum and a/c retardation . . .

My A/C doesn't even work at in park though. The doors don't open that is.

I pulled the screw out and put the white hose in its place. I made sure I had three good connections at the vacuum tank, then plugged the other end of the red and blue hose (didn't check to see if they had a vacuum first, that woulda been smart).

Nothing happened. This means I have a leak in one of those three hoses or in my dash, right?

I'm considering buying fresh hose, running directly from the tank to the appropriate ports, and seeing if the problem persists. I think this would simplify some diagnosis.

I've ended up doing that in all of my Zs. I'm anal through necessity though, others are usually luckier. If it's still blowing through the defrost vents you still have a vacuum leak somewhere.

Alright, so I'll just buy some hose, hook it all up, and go from there.

Thanks.
