just wanted to know what kind of vacuum (in hg) everyone was getting. i think mine used to be higher than it reads now. i have a very suspicious t-connector between some vacuum lines that could be leaking oil (since my car still leaks/uses oil like crazy despite a full rebuild using very expensive parts)

and yes! my car does leak a crapload of oil out the intake and crankcase breathers despite brand new rings! wheee!

edit: you guys need to see these brakes i got for my car. they are absolutely ridiculous to be perfectly honest. i dont think i have ever seen a s13 with anchors of this magnitude. the 13in rotors look like very large dinner plates, and the calipers are needlessly massive. to give you an idea, the pistons in the caliper are a little larger than a half-dollar, and the body is about 10in long. they will probably require a very large spacer and maybe fender flares to clear my little 17s. they WILL go on though, so wish me luck.

I run anywhere from 17-20 of vacuum so I know I don't have a vacuum leak.

I run right about 19inches when it gets warmed up. Thats, for all practical purposes, a new motor. High compression too, but I don't think that would effect how much vac it pulls.

The cams open and close the valves Tim. That's what they're there for....

He is probably referring to if it actually puts out much hp or power with his mods from what I took it as.
