I've done seaches all over google, yahoo, nico, zilvia, socal240, and I can't seem to find any info anywhere on it. Can you use a CA18DE or CA18ET pressure plate and disc on a CA18DET. If so does it bolt right up or require modding? I know the CA18ET flywheel is different but what about the clutch, and I don't know if for some reason the DE clutch is different because it's fwd or something. I just need to replace my stock pressure plate and disc right now and a local parts store can get me a complete clutch kit for a CA18ET for 160 and a kit for a DE for 140. So NICO members, help me out, this is the last thing I need to do before I drop in my CA, my stock disc is fryed and my pressure plate is missing 2 pronges. Help would be apprieciated. Thanks

NO IT'S NOT!!! The USDM FWD CA18DE clutch is too small. You've got to use one from a KA-E and remove one of the alignment pins on your flywheel.

u might as well pay a little extra and buy a centerforce clutch either stage 2 or stage 1 for the ka and just take out a alignment pin. I paid 210 for my stage 2 centerforce clutch for the ka

how do you like your centerforce? I've got a SPEC stage 3 and I don't like it at all. It still slips on me, and I KNOW I don't have enough HP to make it slip. It only does it now and then, but it still sucks when it happens.

he meant to say any KA24 clutch is fine... DE or E. And its cheap. Buy an aftermarket performance KA clutch, or a spec CA18DET clutch from Enjuku. And why are you still asking which clutch to use? NO, the CA18ET, CA20E, CA18DE are ALL too small!

do you have it adjusted right? It might not be grabbing all the way. I did that once with a clutch. Get under there and screw with that threaded rod going into the clutch master cylinder and see if you can't get it to grab a little more.

The ca18de clutch and pressure plate will work fine, the clutch itself is about 1/2 inch smaller in diameter, but if you are gonna be running stock boost that should be good, I am using a Nissan Stanza 1992 clutch and pressure plate, they will bolt right on.

I also used on my buddys car a ka24E clutch.

Centre force clutch is a waste of money, few years back when I installed my ca18det engine, I bought a stageII dual friction clutch from them $500 dollars (9 years ago), and it slipped when ever it reached 9psi.I then bought a Stage II full feramic BULLY CLUTCH locally as the main manufacturing for them is in Ottawa, I had it in for 5 years now and running 18psi on T28 and it doesn't even slip.

The CA18DE clutch will work on the CA18DET if it's a FWD.

That's true. I just assumed he was asking about a RWD, but that was a poor assumption to make.

yea, i am running a rwd ca18det. i have a ka24e pressure plate laying around, could i just use that and the stock disc, or should i buy a new disc, or should i just completely skip that and buy an aftermarket one. I'm really strapped for cash right now and just want something that works half decent, i'm boosting 12lbs on an aftermarket front mount

the CA18et from the s12 can use a DET clutch (done it lots of times, straight swap) so i don't see wht an et one won't fit a det, it'll be a bit weak though

I really want something like that but of course can't find it for CA18det... all I find is spec and they suck from what I've heard. selection for the ka24de isn't much better, ACT has some weak looking 6 puck discs or their unsprung 4 puck, which I've heard doesn't last too long. so the serach continues... I might just buy a used sr flywheel so I can buy that exedy clutch. If it all bolts up it would probably be easier than trying to find a ca specific one or even a ka one.
