What do you mean no onscreen text and real controls?

I get text and my steering wheel controls work (to change tracks, hold up or down till the track changes). Just flicking the seek control on the wheel will change the playlist or whatever.

sorry,I'll be more specific, i didn't really want to bad mouth this unit.

onscreen display: only displays current track playing, when in full display it doesnt show next or previous track info
. I know i'm nit picking

steering wheel controls: I'd much rather be able to flick the tab to skip tracks rasther than long holding for 3 seconds

while these are small grumbles I figure paying $145+35 S&H(hawaii sucks for S&H btw..LOL) I geuss i was hoping for full seamless integration, but hey I love this unit and love the ability to have my ipod on board!

Has anyone try the iphone 5 with the PAC-NIS for compatibility issue?
I'm due for a up grade with Sprint Oct 1. I want to get the iphone 5, but not sure if the new lighting adapter is going to be a problem.
I heard that some people with BMW's are having problems.

Oh okay. Yeah, you're just being picky lol. This is by far the best iPod option for our cars IMO.

it will work with the iphone 5, but you need to get the lightning to 30 adapter as the new iphone 5 has the new lightning port.

can someone help me find the sat cord in the back of my 2004 nisan murano?

Hi! I have a 2008 M35x, that has both satellite and navigation. In looking at USA Spec's website for the 2008 M they don't have a product that will work if it has factory navigation. Has anyone found a way to get this to work with a 2008 or newer M with navigation or is there another product that will work? Thanks!

I'm going to assume you would use the INFI adapter, not the NIS one...but I would call them to confirm.

Well I contacted them via email and finally got a response, and unfortunately it isn't good news. They said they do not offer a part for my vehicle when it is equipped with NAV.

Does anyone have any other ideas on how I can get this to work? I have the iPhone 5, and my 2008 M35x has the iDevice cable in the glove box as a 30 pin connection. When I plug my iPod Touch that is 2 years old with the 30 pin connection into my car I get a display on the iPod Touch that says "Accessory not compatible." I purchased the 30 pin to 8 pin adapter for my iPhone 5 and when I plug that into the car I can listen to my phone through the radio with no issues, and the steering wheel controls work as they should. The only thing that isn't working is the phone does not charge.

For now I have two cables in the car and can either plug it into the built in one if I want to listen to the radio, or into my cigarette adapter if I want to charge my phone. I just can't do both at the same time...

I saw the box in the trunk looks like XM radio that i saw on some pics. Also on preset A it says Call Siri 1-888 some number. So i guess i have XM and i should get USASpec PA15INFI and not the NIS right?

I installed the USA spec pa15-NIS abut 6 months ago and ever since about a month after install, my iPhone 5 has been cutting out after a few seconds of playing music. I use the preset #5 for direct mode and I have the dip switches in the correct places but I just can't seem to get it working. I have called tech support and they sent me a new speck cable but that only temporarily fixed the problem, any suggestions?

That's weird. Have you tried iPod's or other devices? My iPod Nano 6th and 7th generation have been working for ever.

Well, I got the PA15-NIS for my '07 M35 w/o satellite radio, but with nav, and the cable is all wrong. The power harness was no problem, but the data cable was just wrong. The NIS unit has a 10-pin, more squarish connector, and my car has a larger (20-pin?) more rectangular connector. I'm going to have to assume that I'm just not going to be able to use any of the USA Spec products then.
