I'm running an UpRev tune and there are some transmission and ECU updates I need to perform on my 2013 M56S. So I asked UpRev what to do. First of all, make sure your ECU is flashed using the 'back to stock' rom. Then you can take your car to the dealer for their updates. But that does NOT mean you can upload the tune back once your updates are ready. The tune will OVERWRITE the OEM updates:

UpRev's Email to me:
"Flashing your tune bak onto the ECU would overwrite the dealer update. You can flash your car back to stock and get the update done at the dealer, afterwards we would need a ECU dump so we can patch the update, there would be no patch fee."

So there you have it.

I've also reached out to UpRev in hopes of some more support for our platform, as well.

Good work. They've been tough to work with lately...don't respond to emails, etc. Good to know they are working, actively, on getting more support for our ECU's.

If you do a Stillen exhaust and custom y-pipe, they will send you an E-Tune. It's the only one they have. The car they did it for dyno'd 400WHP on their dyno.
