Does anyone know for certain if the interior surface material around the console, glove box, headliner, etc. is "Alcantara" ?

I know it's not any leather material like suede although it has the feeling and look of suede if you rub it backwards the surface tone of the material changes lighter / darker.

I found a detailing product on autogeek.com >>> http://www.autogeek.net/sonax-alcantara-cleaner1.html
which is specially for cleaning this Alcantara material but want to be sure that is what I'm dealing with.

Just FYI, the autrogeeks.com web site is a real goldmine of hard to find detailing tools and potions for people who are into show cars and such.

Not sure, but personally I'd doubt very much that the Nissan OEM material used would be alcantara, and IIRC I've seen it called suede or tweed for the door panel and dash insert choices in the Nissan catalog that came with my TT.
Mine has leather unlike almost all others, although I have seen a couple others like mine over the years...hope this helps!

Yours has OEM Leather for *inserts* ?

Never saw that come from the factory. Leather Seats - of course, most TT's came that way, tweed cloth was the exception, but Leather Dash and Console surfaces ???

I'm talking about these surfaces, like the one with the Mink Oil stain in the photo below.
