Upgrade MAF?

I am going to be turbocharging my KA within the next 3-4 months. I would like to know what modifications are needed inorder to use a mustang 5.0 maf? I know that JWT is using them for their turbo cars, thats why I would like to it. I am working my way up to completing my kit. Currently I have (listed below). I am still working on purchasing engine internals. Quick question.... Anyone turbocharge in the Bayarea? I would like to check it out.

I think you have to use a different ECU program to use the cobra maf. As far as I've seen more fellas seem to stick with a Z32 mafs.

JWT is the only one who uses that MAF...if you don't run JWT, you can't use the Cobra MAF.

If you run an AFC, there is no setting for it. AFC has a setting for the Z32 MAF, though...probably the reason it's more popular, especially for the SR guys.

Hey thanks guys.... Can I use any S-AFC or do I specifically need an S-AFC for a 300zx MAF if im going to use it on my ka24det? One more thing, what is the max HP for the 300zxtt MAF?

around 550 hp, some have squeaked a lil more out.You can use any electronic box that allows you to adjust what the ecu is seeing from the injectors and air sensor.

Didn't Asad on FA run a cobra maf and 50lb'ers on a stock ECU?

Yes...but it kinda idled and didn't drive well...and then stalled out.

We concluded the voltage curve was MUCH different than stock.
