Alright I just got a hold of my starter parts.. a fuel rail to adapt 11mm injectors bosch 550 cc injectors(cheap from a buddy 100 bucks for all 6) and a custom stainless steel turbo manifold (built by a buddy's dad) 100 bucks. I plan on getting colder plugs and the usual thermostat And alternator I need. Next it will take a retarded amount of time to measure piping and wheel well modification to fit the turbo.. since I only want about 400 whp which turbo should I run for a quick spool but a good level of power through each gear? noob question I apologize. also because of the goofy radiator position it looks like I can fit a prettty massive intercooler.. Lag? should I or a thin one to be prettty and sit in my bumper air dam?.. opinions welcome

Walbro 255.

As for the turbo, I will suggest what I always suggest, the T3/T4. Not the biggest or fanciest turbo, but it is relatively cheap and can get you up around where you want to be. I personally would like a GT3582R, a bit much for what you want but you can't say you won't have headroom. The GT35 is larger but a ball bearing turbo, the T3/T4 is smaller but with regular bearings.

I've seen more and more people running Holsets, diesel truck turbochargers and the like, but you'll have to search for that info on your own. I've only researched the turbos that interest me, there is a lot of turbo types out there to choose from.

As for intercoolers, they follow the same principle as the intake and exhaust tubing. Too small and they will choke the flow, but too large and they reduce velocity. If your goals are for 400hp, search for an intercooler rated for 450-500hp. No point having some gigantic intercooler rated for 900whp with 400whp, especially since that intercooler won't have access to free flowing air across it's entire surface area due to the design of the front end of the car.

thanks. I hear you on the intercooler my front end is goofy yet a small intercooler will be effficient if i fit it correctly. I have access to a cheap t4 so i may go that route. Yet the gt35 will carry over down the rpad after the 2nd stage of my build inn a year or 2.ie 500 plus hp.. so it may remain an option. thanks again

I woudl recomend sticking with a T3 fram turbo, the T3O4E or T3O4b both are capable of reachign your power goals without the exppense of the bb turbo or the lag of the t4 frame

I'd love to see pic's of the custome exhaust manifold
