^^

The OEM fenders I have on it now line up to the headlights perfect, its just at the doors/A pillar that they are off. In most of the pics here, the fenders aren't really bolted to the car, just mocked up.

The Ebay fenders I had before didn't line up anywhere. Not sure on the quality of name brand fenders such as Origin tho.

Current Status:

The engine is done! Just a few sensors and hoses to throw on and everything should be good.

Wheels that fit

With some 25mm spacers up front

The old core support is gone, I'll get pics of the new one as soon as I can.

Right now the car is at Ace up motorsports getting the wiring done. Should be finished and ready for first start-up sometime this week

More pics to follow.....

Thanks. I'm still undecided on if I want to keep it there or not. If I do, I'm getting a matching one for the other side. Then one would be an oil cooler and the other for power steering.

Car looks great dude.

Saw it at AZ350Z a few weeks before you got it painted. I was getting my tires mounted from Billy.

And yeah, the Weds look badass.

I'm only half a year late  but it's caller Brewer Bronze Metallic

UPDATE:

The car is running!.....kinda....

It will finally start up and idle, but only with the MAFS unplugged.

I still have a bunch of little things to fix, but this is a big step in the right direction.

I'l try and get some video up ASAP :dblthumb:

Got the MAFS working. It was just a wiring issue.

Here's a quick startup vid.

The engine is toast :frown:

Didn't even get to drive it once. we have absolutely no clue why this happened, but the engine is knocking....bad. We cut open the oil filter and it looks like glitter.

The shop I took it to said the tune is fine and they have no reason to believe that the failure was caused by the ITB's or any of the other extensive modifications we have done. I was told I should have no trouble after swapping in a new head/block, but I just need a break right now.

Not sure if I'm best off just getting an engine from ebay to throw in and run as-is, or rebuild what I've got. Either way It'll take a little while to gather the funds. One things for sure tho, I'm more determined than ever to get this thing running and just enjoy it

Anyone ever rebuild an engine in their garage? how hard is it with proper tools and an FSM? Any tips?

/Rant

We did it (with the KA).

We should talk, I'm considering offloading the vert.

I'll PM you my number, I know its been a while since we've talked :)

Now that you mention it, if I remember correctly, you were in a very similar position with your KA some time ago. I'd love hear your thoughts on the situation ;)

Its kinda like pulling up to a massive speed bump in your lowered car with a fiberglass bumper.

You know its gonna suck to get past, but in the end it was your decision and if you can get over the hump in the road, it's totally worth it.

How's everything goin with the coupe? Still one of my all time favorite cars :naughty:

:) That's a good way to look at things. No car project is without it's major hiccups.

Coupe is in hibernation, and pretty much has been since my track outing last may. Haven't driven it since then. I just replaced the battery last week, and she gets fired up a few times a week just to keep the motor fresh.

Thanks for the compliment! :)

For now I'm gonna tear apart the 20 and rebuild it. It's the cheapest, most realistic option given the parts I have.

In the long run, I'm gonna pick up an RB30 block and an R32 RB25de head. That way I can use my same manifolds, piping, wiring, etc. and have 3l of displacement. But that's all in good time

Did you know there is an RB30 block for sale in the engine classifieds?

The ITB setup is awesome.

How is the fitment of the Sparco seats? I had heard aftermarket seats don't fit in a convertible, but those look good!
