Glad we have a great mod, and overall community here in the vert forum.

I guess my car is one of those "Hate it or love it" type of cars due to the extreme modifications done to it. I think I have yet to create an update thread without some kind of drama in it, but then again if I wern't expecting the negative comments/consructive criticisim...I wouldn't have posted pics in the first place.

So to all that have commented on my car, both good and bad, thanks and keep it up. I generaly take all constructive criticisim(within reason) and use it to better my car.

Keep the comments flowing...

yea the wheels are te37's 18X8.5 18X9.5 I think.

Spacers are 25mm in the front and 50mm in the back

Offset is somthing gay like +37 or so, but for $1100 with tires I figured it was fair.

mrk442, you should hit up the drift event at SIR this weekend if you get a chance. I'm bringing out the vert for its first event.

http://www.az240sx.org/forums/...85&hl=

I think the volks look much better on this car, but I still love the Eurolines. I'll just have to wait a few years untill I can pick up an SC300 to throw them on...

As far as the money goes, I just make smart decisions such as:

A. work my *** off(I own my own business, so the harder I work the more I make)

B. Investments. I invest in silver, gold, stock ect. for the future...

C. don't spend money on stupid crap like going out to eat every night.

D. Wait for good deals on used car parts and do all of the work myself.

E. No girlfriend, they cost too much. "Friends with benifits" are fine

If you were to take a bone stock Vert to a shop and tell them to do the modifications that I did, who knows what they would charge you. I think I have around $15,000 at the most invested in this car(including the car itself.)

So to all of those out there who want to be driving your dream car, my advice is this...Be smart with your money, stay motivated, and take your time. Anyone can do it.

I don't know any OFFICIAL rules such as SCCA/NASA. But here in Az as I understand it, As long as the top of the drivers helmet is at least 2" below the "hoop" on a roll bar you should be good to go.

This is for the mid class. The event I'm going to this weekend is more of an open drift setup, not in the competition level. this means I don't need a rollbar at all.

Once you start getting seriouse(formula drift, D1), a full cage is a requirement.

Once again, this is just what I have read, so double check the rules for the particular events you are interested in first.

Since I am just starting out, I will go with the simple rollbar and have it detachable for daily driving. I like the looks of it when it is mounted low, but then it won't pass tech.

Cliffnotes: Regulations for drifting verts varry depending on who is hosting the event as they are liable for the insurance. Best bet is to get in contact with thoes holding the event and ask them.

Funnily enough, I actually came across this thread doing a google search for s15 front ends on s13, and I must say, I like what I see. I agree with everyone else, the TE37's look a lot better. I kno im hella late, but I had a few questions for ya:

The s14 wing you have on there....oem or aftermarket? I've heard from some that the kouki wing doesnt really sit flush on the coupe's trunk, so I was curious if you had to mod it or whatever.

The origin kit. You said you did the work yourself on your car. my friend and I plan on doin most of the work ourselves on my car. how did the origin kit fit on your car? did it need a lot of work to get it to look right? (im not really concerned about the front end conversion, I do realize you have to weld on the s15 bumper support, etc ect so that much I probably wont be doing....)

and also you said you own your own business. what type of business do you do? im always interested in how entrepreneurs make their money.

The spoiler is OEM, and will take some modification to sit flush. Right now, mine sits like this:

Quote »The origin kit.
The Origin kit has great fitment, by far the best I've ever owned. It should take very little to make it look near perfect.

Quote »and also you said you own your own business. what type of business do you do? im always interested in how entrepreneurs make their money.
I actually own a military antiques store. I have always been interested in military history and collected various items, so my dad and I decieded to open up a store dedicated to just that. We started up a website and generate a suprising ammount of traffic between that and our storefront for such a specific market.

Its been a while since I have updated my thread. Not much new on the exterior. I've spent the past few months gathering parts trying to figure out how to make this fit.

I will more than likely ditch the manifold I have now to do a twin top mount setup due to clearance issues.

After taking care of some personal issues, Im back......

Here are a few parts I have aqquired recently.

Mocked up...

So I have determined there is no way A TT RB20 is fitting in a LHD chassis with that manifold. Rather than scrapping the project, I just postponed it and picked up another RB20 to build with the new LHD compatible single turbo setup.

So far I have:

KKK K3T 3070 mga turbo6BOOST twin scroll manifold550cc Sard injectorsZ32 MAFSHKS 50mm RacegateRB26 ITB's and pletnum

Will be running a ROM tune.

Right now the manifold is at my buddy's house getting the wastegate flange welded on. I am hoping to have the downpipe/IC piping done within the next two weeks, then its off to get it tuned.

I will be sure to keep you guys updated with pictures every step of the way.

Thanks Dex. Yea, I like Eikon's thinking on the calendar. It would have been nice, but now I have that much more motivation to get my car where I want it by next year.
motorboater wrote:where did you get the carbon fiber material for that valve cover?
I got the carbon fiber from Ebay. Just be sure you get the real stuff, and not some "carbon fiber" sticker.

If you've ever worked with fiberglass before, you should be able to get the hang of carbon fiber after a little practice.

Not much of an update, but I did get my manifold back with the wastegate flange welded on. I'll try and get some better pics over the weekend.
