Yesterday I witnessed the most incredible outpouring of love and support I have ever seen...

10+ NICO members rolled into the hospital room to visit Stacey yesterday, filling her room with flowers, balloons, stuffed animals, cards, gifts, and best of all love and laughter. Stories of the past few days were shared, everyone got a first-hand update, and everyone offered up their words of hope, encouragement and support

(Brian's words were especially touching: "F*** this mother****ing cancer bull****, we're gonna kick it in its f****** a** and laugh in its face, y'know?")

Stacey's periodic walking excursions up and down the hallway were accompanied by a full entourage (she calls them her "pit crew"), and the people here at the hospital are pretty certain she's something of a celebrity...

Later in the night, I go back to the house, expecting to have to leave Stacey alone for the night for the first time... The front yard is packed with Nissans, there are 20+ NICO folks there, hanging out with the NICOtots, the house is filled with food, the kids are playing video games and working on a car in the garage with the guys, the girls have straightened up the house, and a few of the guys had already planned to spend the night and keep an eye on the kids so I could come back to the hospital and help Stacey.

The fact that it's a Saturday night, and all of these people could have been anywhere but there was truly amazing.

I am humbled.

From now on, anyone who wonders, "What's wrong with kids these days?" is certainly not talking about NICO people. They are selfless and caring, plain and simple. I can guarantee you there's NO other "car club" that can boast of an experience like this.

Dammit, I love you guys.

Its good we don't all live in AZ. They would have to close down the hospital. She would have 27000 "family members" visiting everyday!! Wish I was there too!! We are routing for you Stacey and Family!!

Good news, lets keep praying for even better.

All the positive support is good for Stacey's mental health which is a big part in recovery.

God loves those who love others and the things you have done for the good of all of us is simply being returned. The NICO army is a tight knit group thanks to you.

I'd have been there in a minute, even if it was 100 miles away.

Too bad it's like 2,800.

Good to hear you're getting taken care of, you certainly do it for everyone here. I hope becomes right again.

You know, you could never get rid of us now...we're one big, big happy family lol

I know how busy you must be with going to the hospital and everything else, but thanks for the updates. I've been wondering how things were doing.

Awesome! I'm there in spirit. All the support, thoughts and prayers from the NICO crew in the Midwest.

I heard a great quote this weekend and I'll share it now: "The Lord is my Shepherd, and that's good enough for now."

Greg and family,

I certainly don't post here regularly enough for anyone to really remember me, but everytime I have an issue with my 240 (which is often, heh), NICO is always a resource of infinite value. I've read most of the posts in the original thread, and all in this one, and I wish you, Stacey, and the NICOtots all the best. If only I weren't out here on the east coast, I would help you guys out anyway I could in person; if there is anything I can do for any of you without actually being there, just let me know. I'll certainly get off my rear end and donate some money ASAP (being a college student makes it hard, but this is definitely one of those times there's always a dollar or two around). It's the least I can do for all you do for all of us NICO members. I'm saying my prayers for you, Stacey, and the kids . . . I'm sure she'll do just fine man. Try and take it easy (that goes for Stacey too), and remember your "second family" of 27,000 some strong is out there for you, even those of us who aren't post-a-holics, heh.
