lol heck yes i got the wrong radiator lol i had a hunch it was for a GA but and i was rite,,.. i returned it and went to NAPA and they had the rite one. im gona install it tomorrow after work. srry to hear about your transmission man. but atleast u got something more reliabe how much was it if u dont mind me asking?

Yup figured you got the one for the GA. lol The final tally for the new transmission for the 200sx was $1600 shipped to the door so all in all not too bad, seeing it was $1800 for the transmission in my 01 sentra se :tisk:

man that sucks. i went to get a smog today for the honduh,.. and the shop next door said they could rebuild the b14s transmission for $800.00 not bad at all. wish u lived closer man lol.. but my transmission is fine i was curious what they would charge.
well i tried turning the b14 on,... she almost did,.. my problem. im not getting any fuel. it got late so i put it off till tuesday but i think it might just be either a fuel relay or the fuel pump,.. if im lucky thats it lol

Yea the shop said that I had parts that were screwed up that were on nissan national backorder (main shaft and input shaft gears were crapped out) which I looked into and they were right. But guess what? I got the car back yesterday and the same noise came back, I'm pretty sure at this point it is the damn clutch since it has a rebuilt transmission. I've beaten on the clutch pretty hard and its still not past its break in period :tisk: so im pretty sure its not seated right on the flywheel.

But anyways as promised heres the newest pics with the Megan Racing 2" springs and kazera 18" wheels.

Thanks man! Trust me you'll love her after shes all done im already falling in love. Anyways I just had a stage 2 competition clutch put in, only thing is I beat the piss outta it before it was broken in (couldnt help it it just rips and is so much fun!) so hence my thinking that its not seated right on the flywheel, the noise is slowly going away as I drive it more and more so im not that worried about it. :yesnod

lol well i guess you broke it in real nice haha. ok i wanted to work on the car today but i ended up napping.. i wake up at 3 am for work on mondays and i got home at like 4pm today i was beat! lol so i gota figure out the fuel problem tomorrow. hopefully thats all it takes then she can start up for me :D

Haha get her done man!! lol hmmmm is the pump working and fuel isnt getting there or is the fuel pump not working at all. I'd check the lines and make sure everything is all clear.

well we can hear the relay clicking when we turn the key,.. but the pump makes no noise whatsoever. so im not getting any fuel. i think it might be the fuel pump and ill double check the lines.

IMO.. :cheers: It's just a matter of cleaning is all. Remember that your B-14 has been sitting for months. Plus the motor as well. :shifter: Just take your time and not be in a hurry and clean out the fuel pump then clean out the lines then put it back together piece by piece. :luck: Good luck as I hope this SR20 monster :taz: will start up for you and put a big smile on your face. :dogpile: :thewave: :dogpile:

Like tom said go threw and make sure everything is clean (pretty sure thats not it though mine sat for 2 years before it was started again and it started first try lmao) but also check all your wiring could be a short or disconnected wire somewhere. srry guys i appreciate your concerns i havnt been on in a minute work was crazy.... ahem. i was working on the car before i read your suggestions but i did just as you suggested anyways,.. see last time we couldnt get it to start,,, we topped it off with new fuel just in case,.. at the very end of the day we had disconnected the fuel line that leads into the motor and noticed no fuel was coming out,.. we left it like that... a few days ago i popped the hood and got a very strong scent of gasoline,.. thought it was somewhat odd. my valve cover seemed like someone had tried to paint it black at one point in its lifetime and they epiclly failed! lol and what i noticed is the paint was coming clean off! :wtf2: my first response was like why do i smell fuel and why is the paint comin off.. then i noticed the fuel line was disconnected.. at first i panicked, then i was kinda encouraged to get more fuel out of that line lol.. i noticed the line was semi clogged by a orange goop type stuff.. i went to autozone bought a fuel filter and fuel line.. replaced those and when i turned the key.. still no start. ok so i decided to change my pump.. (which i had bought earlier that week) and as i pulled out the seat and finally got to the pump and tested the positve wire,.. i had 12 volts passing through there so i went further. pulled the pump itself out and tried turning it on then.. no start. i connected the new pump w/o submersing it in the tank and that pump turned on.. i decided to change the pump. LMAO :rotfl my friend snatches my old pump from my hand and bangs it on my table and tells me to cennect it then... sure enough it worked! it had just seized up. soooo the car started she lives!!!! :naughty: but i gota fix my vacuum lines or something shes got a semi rough idle... oh and the civic needs fixing to soooo ima go do that for rite now ill update ya soon thanks guys. :dblthumb:

lol ok well i doubt ill turbo my SE-R i want to buy an S-13 and swap a SR DET in that bish or an RB DET. for my B14 when i have a enough money saved up i would love to have a NEO VVL SR20 in my 200. and go all motor. unless i find a good deal on like an avenir or something then maybe id give into temptation and turbo the 200 haha. you gona go turbo after all?

Nice I love the old 240's definetly a sweet car if its done up right. As for the NEO you dont get half the pop for the price. You can get everything for a turbo for under $2k and I know because I'm gunna be turbo!!!! I'm at $940 and already got 99% of the stuff for the turbo all thats left is the 3" downpipe, exhaust and the walbro 255 pump so hopefully I'll be done in about a month or two and she'll be turbo'd. :chuckle:

Piecing a set together man. That was as of a couple weeks ago its spiraled from there lol. I'm sitting at about 2 to 3k for everything now. :crazy:
The $940 was the turbo, manifold, and j pipe, 370cc injectors, inter-cooler, piping and blow off valve, auto meters fuel ratio gauge, auto meters boost gauge, aem tru boost controller, and the greddy turbo timer. Plus you will need a ecu I got my calum chipped ecu for $250.

On top of that I've now added the BRM 3" stainless exhaust, VRS 3" t25 stainless downpipe. ($850 for both). Things I have left are a random tech 3" cat ($300) or a test pipe and all the oil, water, and vaccum fittings and lines ($170) and a walbro 255 pump ($85). Plus I need some more inter-cooler piping and couplers seeing the inter-cooler I bought was off a b13. I also need to wire up the boost controller. I'm getting there though not much to do or buy till its all done. :woot:

P.S. dont listen to me nothing is ever as cheap as it first seems but now that I know I could definitely start helping if any of you thread readers got questions about my setup.

lol dude that is not in my budget range!!! lol i would most likely end up buying a det if anything haha. did you also buy low compression pistons? forged rods?

No the stock bottom end is good up to 400hp on sr20's and iirc low compression pistons aren't needed if your only boosting 7-10 psi once you go past 14 psi is when you'll need lower compression to avoid detonation.

sorry for the UBER late update... been busy and sick. ok so the last few times i turned the motor on, it wanted to stall because it was cold and i havnt figured out what the problem is. so what i have to do in order to keep the motor on is either keep my foot on the pedal or if im outside the car hold down on the throttle cable to keep it from stalling. about two or three weeks ago i was curious how long it would take for the engine to heat up enough to where it could idle on its on with out my help. i didnt time it,.. but id say it took about 7-10 minutes. it was idling nice at around 750rpms. when i looked at the dash again i noticed it started to overheat.. i didnt let it i immediately shut it off when i noticed. once i shut it off i noticed the fans didnt turn on. today i tested the fans. i wired them up directly to the battery and yes those are still good. but the fans again didnt turn on today when i let the car warm up. i checked my fuses,.. one of my 30 amp fuses for my fans looks defective,. so i will replace it. i checked the relay,.. hmm it would appear that im missing that relay?! even my repair manual says to check the radiator fan relay (no duh!) but when i look in the relay box,.. the lid says that the relay should be the third one from the right. what i noticed is that i have no relay,.. AND; it appears as if there is NO relay socket at all? (where i plug in the relay,.. not sure if its called a socket though)

So at this point ive come to this conclusion. A) Temp switch is bad. B) Bad thermostat maybe? and C) Bad electrical system due to what i found missing(relay) and damaged(30 amp fuse).

I think that i may have a short somewhere though.. i noticed that when i turned my light on the rpm's would drop. (when it idled on its own). I either have a bad starter or a short somewhere because even when we used to drive this car like 4 years ago, a mechanic installed a switch. the purpose for this switch was simple,.. sometimes the car wouldnt turn on when you would turn on the key,. so you would push the button and the car would start. i forgot about this and didnt even bother trying to wire that up when we swapped the motors. so sometimes it wont start sometimes it does... all in all im glad the motor turns on,.. thats a huge relief for me. It sounds pretty healthy im confident it will serve me well.. now its these last little glitches that got me stressing lol. im gona try and do some research on the interwebz... let me know what ya'll think.

Id say go to the FSM http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/ <---- there and just go through your electrical systems and check/rewire everything. I know this sounds like a big job but it wont be that bad just follow the wires around the car and look for anything out of place, frayed or missing. I had an alpine security system the kids that had my car before jig rigged togther that I had to take out. Took me about 2 days to take the interior apart and just go through it to rewire everything back to the stock security system (i'll post the pic of the final result when I find it). Also had to wire all those pretty gauges in and the turbo timer but still even thats not too bad. Just what I'd do though. And remember no jig rigging!! :slap:

P.S. Both my sr20's (sentra and 200sx) idle around 1k rpm and its normal for the idle to drop when A. The lights are turned on and B. when you turn on your AC/Heater.
