Hi all, I have recently come upon one hell of a 300zx to add to my collection, I've been combing through all the goodies the previous owner has installed and I've come across some rather interesting and I can't find any info on it and the PO knows nothing of it.

Specifically there is a small chip of the 28 pin socket the converts it to 32 pin, with three wires running off it. Red, yellow and brown. Yellow and brown merge into one wire that heads out of the ECU to a male end connector which has another wire running back into the ECU that goes to pin 50 of the harness. The red wire coming from the his adapter goes to pin 49 on the harness. The other end of that connecter leads somewhere into the dash and disconnecting it makes not difference to idle or under boost, or any of the mods he's installed from what I can tell.

I'll post a pic when I get home.

Does anyone know what this could be for? I can't get my nistune board installed because of the differing pin layout.

Thanks for your time.

I think I have seen something like this before or it may be my mind playing tricks on me, one thing is for sure, I have no idea what it is. I'm sure it is possible to convert this current ECU to Nistune however I am not so sure that all the jumpers are in the same place they came in from the factory and that's where the difficulty starts. Hopefully someone that knows something about this can chime in.
