lol, not sure if I should be flattered or insulted I'd think the Underdrive pulleys should be fine, the torque dampers? you mean an egnine damper? a lot of diesel engiens come fromt he factory with damers, and I see no reason why you couldn't add one, I'd think urethane engine mounts would accomplish the same thing

lolz, cause as i see it your a genius and have an answer for pretty much anything anybody asks. So I decided to throw that in for a little humour.

The reason I ask this is because I keep hearing conflicting stories with one another about how underdrive pulleys aren't ideal for DD's.

i don't see why they wouldn't be alright for a DD.... turbo's and SC's are ok (in a sense) so why not pulleys and damper?.... Go for it, and why your at it, get me a damper. Speaking of dampers, has anyone tried or compared the ebay dampers to the name brand ones? is there any real difference - or are they doing the exact same job as each other?

the only real issue I'm aware of with the pulley's is when replacing a harminic dampner with a silightweight pulley, you loose the ability to absorb the engines natural harmonic's, which can shorten the life of an engine, how much is the question and that goes into how the eingine is used, you'll notice high power drag cars all have harmonic dampers, so lesser street cars I feel it's less of a concern

Because I hear they can reduce the life of your engine...or some type of jazz similar, I have to find that thread.

Those ebay dampers should be fine..in a way, considering all there doing is holding something in place and not exactly affecting anything internally.
