one of the many amp or timer boxes that are all over the car, could also be ABS or auto trans computer

can you snap a pic of the blue "mini ecu"? not many of the timers and other modules live on the pass side so i wouldn't count on it being that, but you can't entirely rule it out

I don't think he's asking about the main CPU. That one is pretty obvious as he mentioned he has previous experience with an s13. He asked about the mini cpu which i'm assuming is the one with the C on it.

Don't just randomly guess things. If that was bolted above the ecu it's the trans control unit for the autos. Where was it originally bolted?

that makes sense. i'm not familiar with automatic trans modules at all. i ditched all that stuff or it was already ditched when i got my new body harness.

this thread is good reference for tucks, but it focuses more on sr, 5 spd and power option wiring

your the man WC

i might not go as extensive as you. i only have maf plug on drivers side, but im going to reroute that behind motor. my main goal is to get rid of the cluster f*** on passenger side. i want to put the main fuse box and that associates with it behind dash. the main thing i will do is extend the body harness for all the lights up front. i plan on running the body harness on frame rail ledge and cover it with a piece of aluminum plating

i just want to get everything out of site, but i plan on cheating just a little

glad you can use the pics to help. it took forever to save the pics to my computer from one photobucket, then host and repost em with my other photobucket. so you plan on running the wires forward along the rail? why not just do what i did and run em behind the fenders

yeah i could do that...either way i have to extend wires. we kind of tucked most of the engine harness from day 1 and lower harness so my main issue is the main body harness and fuse box plugs.

Hey WC do you know if the heat will still work if you remove the ac? Maybe make some kind of tunnel from the heater core to the center vent section?thanks

yeah the heat will still work like before. no need to make any tunnel everything will still be connected for heat to flow through

Well I saw that you had removed the unit that goes between the blower motor and the heater core, so that's what I was trying to figure out.I just need a space to put the fuses and relays since its gonna be pretty cramped after putting the harness along the support bar.

theres still room to run everything with that box back in. thats what i did. the main bundle of wires runs higher up on the dash area next to the wires that already run there

Oh gotcha. Just seems like a lot of junk to store back there haha.Is it hard to put the dash back on with the extra harness strapped to the support bar?

i can tell its not gonna that hard its just about massaging and working everything into place. i havent put the dash back in yet since i believe the ecu to be fried, and i dont want to button it all back up til i'm sure about the problem

hey, was just wondering if you could get a better picture of the sheet of plug with wiring written on it. i did a wire tuck, but i think i mixed up some of the pins =/ mine won't start. thought it was my ecu cause i can't get fuel or spark, but i tried my friends ecu and it did the same thing. so trying to check my wiring and pining now.

thanks
