ok.... if anyone lives in the hamptons.. Never ever ever ever ever go to EAST END TRANSMISSIONS.. heres a quick version .. then i got a question..

my clutch was gone.. no pedal.. so i brought it to transmission shop.. they put new clutch assembly in... i brought it home. about a week to 2 later the clutch is engageing at the full pedal height and slipping if i gave it more than a lil throttle....so.. bring it back.. "o we just have to make an adjustment" (master and slave was replaced already) get it back. like 2 weeks later again, same thing..bring it back 3rd time...

they replaced again slave..and master.. 1 week later again... and each time they were bleeding the system fully..

again..again..again.. and today i got it back for the 7th time.. and already the pedal height is fluxuating

only good thing.. they do it for free..pick it up.. and drop it off

SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't go to them again, find another mechanic or shop and have it done right. How much is that costing you for each time you go back to them?? Sounds like they are one of those places that tries to do something else to a car to get your business but never fixes it.

Oh btw, keep ALL reciepts and try to take charges against them or sue them. 7times??? good grief...no offense but now I think about it, that many times if they didnt have it fixed by the 3rd time I would think something really was up with that. But keep your reciepts and try to do something legally or something.

My bad...read over it. Hmmm....I would realy get another mechanic for second opinion if you keep having problems...that just seems odd 7times and it messes up again and again.

I see it now where you say Free, but I would be questioning them each time or stay there and see if you can watch what they do to it. Some places will let ya stand and watch (most places here) I watched them fix my exhaust pipe to see what they do.

I dont know what it does but isnt the box the junction thing?? I think I read something like that in a post about a junction box but I dunno what it does....I've got school as well, college...

I done search on what you were talking about to find out a little bit about the box thing, but didnt read what it does. And if they say the fix it, I dont get what they are doing wrong if your still having problems. I would consider to go elsewhere and get 2nd opinions about that. No telling what else they could be doing to the car without your knowledge. If you have free time on weekends, see if there is a shop somewhere that is open on weekends and have them take a look.

i doubt anything.. because they are strictly transmissions.. no point in messing wit other things... although 2nd gear is not wut it used to be after they dropped the transmission(to replace clutch) now.. if its hot or cold (engine temp) 2nd gear in upshift and downshift grinds a very llittle bit.. a hell of a lot more at higher rpm's.. so.. idk about that

You should have tham get your transmission replaced too. If they broke it then they should get it rebuilt al least.

I would have called my lawyer after the 2nd time.

You really should take care of this though, instead of just waiting for us to come up with a solution for you.

relax buddy.

They are trying to be helpfull. They are doing more than most places would. Bring your car in and watch while they work on it. Ask them questions and get them to show you what they thing the problem is and why. Tell them that you need it done right and if they cannot get it working properly you will try out another place and mention that you will not be paying for a non-working product.

done and done.

my clutch went out, then slave cylinder went out....after they were both replaced 1st->2nd grinds hard over 3000rpm and 2nd->3rd grind slightly after about 5000rpm sometimes. The synchro's in the transmission cause it. I would fix it, but a bearing+synchro kit is $735 job :-\ (approaching that 100 post mark :-P )
