Any one ever use something like this? Not trying to replace a lift kit. I bought tires a smidge too big, and they rub when I turn hard. Especially when backing up.

They work well for saggy springs and should do the job for what you want, but keep in mind that you're in essence shortening the spring. So with healthy springs and not saggy ones, expect a substantially rougher ride.

An old hot rodders trick from the 50s, but they work pretty well. I had to use them on a BMW whenever I put chains on it due to clearance. A bit of a PITA since it would already be snowing when I was installing them, but they worked.

I think I'd lean towards the rubber-style "biscuit" than those for a quick 1/2" lift. Usually, they're in the same spot in the store as those twist-in dealies.

I've also seen strut spacers (bought a set for my beater 04 Corolla for fun). It's a 1" tall biscuit that sits atop the strut and gives 1" of additional ride height.

Good thought! Forgot about those, that will preserve the spring length and rate.

Funny, I'd not heard of either of those, while I'm not sure what I'd use them for they still sound interesting. But I have seen rubber spacers that fit between coils. They're more of a H like strip.

Yep. I'm thinking they'd be a better option for our OP.

The rubber insert or the strut spacer.

That way, the load is distributed more evenly and allows deflection... something those metal cubes don't do.
