Could someone direct me to a link detailing someone who had a problem with a deltagate? I've SEARCHED high and low and heard nothing bad about them, I've taken mine apart and while not as pretty as a Tial looks like it's constructed just fine. The actual mechanism is pretty idiot proof and the machining is good so I fail to see what is wrong with them.

I had one before swithing to Tial. The Deltagate was allowing boost creep regardless of how I adjusted it. The Tial is working very well.

Well, once it stopped creeping would it hold steady? I'll be happy if it will just hold 17 or so psi and know somebody it's working quite well for...at around that level and higher.

I have personnally witnessed a NEW Deltagate with a 10lb spring overboost to 22lbs. This car had a stand alone so it had the fuel and motor to handle it. I have also seen them break the shaft, diaprams don't last long, etc. The tial 38mm counter part is rock steady.

Hmmm, well I have the fuel to back up whatever the turbo decides to do so I'll post a full review of it once I get everything running :)

dude,my friends fluctuates like crazy. They are inconsistent and are known to spike over time. They creep with the lower pressure springs.FMax ditched running the Deltagate cuz people were complaining about the Deltagate running like 12 psi-15 psi instead of the 8 psi set level. So they started issuing their kits with Tial wastegates. Quality is much better.Rumors are started for a reason though. Nobody is just making crap up. Why go with something that is fishy?I think Turbonetics has a newly designed wastegate now. Also FMax is under Turbonetics so they will prolly use the newly designed wastegate.I love my HKS standard. Great quality. No fluctuations.

I had a deltagate on my old black turbo hatch. It worked great for 3 months...after that, it boosted what it wanted. Sometimes I got 5psi, sometimes 7, sometimes 8+ (when I'd let out so I didn't blow the engine on a basic fuel system). Its a piece of junk...and for $50 more, you can get a Tial wastegate that works awesome. No boost creep/spike problems with 2 years and 30K miles of use.

Because I allready bought it, and cant afford to replace it ;) I'll just use a higher pressure spring then and see how it works.

Well it would, but it progressivley was getting worse over time. I only boost about 7 psi. It started creeping to 8. Then 9. Then 10 and I said forget that and replaced it. I'd rather be safe than sorry when it comes to boost. After I replaced it, I tore it apart to try to figure out why it might be doing that. Nothing looked wrong. There was no reason why it should have allowed overboost, but it did. This was more disturbing to me than anything else...

Thanks for the response, it seems one of the biggest issues is creep, it's what happened to Structure too I noticed :(

It's a lot cheaper to sell the deltagate and buy a Tial than it is to replace the engine that you blow from overboosting.

When you come tell us that your deltagate took a crap, overboosted, and blew your engine, I will laugh and think "I told you so."

It wont blow.

Edit: forged internals, freshly rebuilt, JWT ecu with 75# injectors, Z32 MAF...I can't see how it could possibly overboost too fast for the rest of the fuel system to keep up until I lift off the throttle.
