My engine has almost 217k miles, but runs good. If i did a minor rebuild with forged pistons (with slight overbore), could i run a decent amount of boost? My power goals are anywhere from 250 to 350whp, but with pump premium daily driver reliablility. I would want to piece together a custom kit, cause it seems to be much much cheaper. I'm weighing the price/performance/convienience options of a mild turbo KA vs a CA18DET swap. Right now, im thinking of an SDS standalone setup to handle fuel, they seem pretty slick. Realnissan has the pistons for $450, getting a bore/hone on my block would cost about how much? I plan on doing the labor/install myself. I dont really know exactly how...yet...but i love working on my car and learning stuff.

Does the fact that my KA has 216k miles mean anything if im replacing the pistons and it has 150ish dry compression now? Leakdown numbers are 170s.

Whats the highest boost anybody's ever put on a stock KA24E? Real boost like daily driven pump gas boost, not 5 mins w/o the thing blowing up.
