Im kinda curious about this as well.

Why would you not want to water cool your turbo? Really, wouldnt water cooling it help keep it cool? Please explain to the turbo-challenged (like myself).

And for relocating it, my turbo sits just a little different from stock due to the new tubular exhaust manifold. I have all the lines working with the exception of the oil return line. It is way too long and way too close to the block now. Does anyone sell a braided line that large for the oil return?

Heat the pipe, stick a 1/4" or 3/8" socket extension in it and bend it to aim correctly.

If I had a turbo with the ability to water cool the cartridge I would take advantage of it.

+1; less oil coaking and extended turbo life ftw. I take it that you are going to be running a top-mount setup as opposed to a stock-type bottom mount? You can easily piece together a kit with fittings/hose/lines from ATP (www.atpturbo.com) and Summit (www.summitracing.com)

Actually the turbo is relocated for the CA to fit in my corolla a little better. it sits lower and away from the motor more. and it also has an S14 turbo on it. im not worried about the coolant lines. mainly the oil line.

Well as far as the oil feed line is concerned, you can just use a taka motorsports one for an SR20 (with some different fitting for the block I think), I have that on my CA and it has more than enough line to reach the turbo, it actually goes to almost the end of the block the turns around to come back to the turbo.

Hello all.

I recently upgraded to a rebuilt Garrett T25G taken from an SR20DET, but I'm having issues with the oil feed line (long story but in the end it's leaking). I was thinking that takamotorsports "Oil In Line SR20DET T25 and T28" (item no. NISX5000T) would be the one one I need, but from what I've read around here I might need a fitting adapter to get the line working on the CA block. Is this true?

And is it humanly possible (or is there any special tool) to release the oil feed line without having to remove everything else?

Here is how the engine is looking after some minor upgrades. In the end all thanks to the Nicoclub forums as my n°1 info source. Too bad I can't use the car as it would leave small puddles of oil if I I turn it on.

Thanks in advance,

If you email Taka and tell them you have a CA, they'll send the correct adapter with the line.
