A few houses down from mine are these kids with their fixed up civics and integras...they dont like my friends and I cause we all have 240's and ALWAYS zooms by my house with coffee can sized mufflers...

Anyways, we went out to get a drink and my friend revs his engine right at their house (they were outside chatting) and we drive by on our way. I didn't think they would follow us until I turned at a light. Then I realized that they were trying to instigate a race with my friend, so I see them catching up to us and then all of a sudden the integra and civic driver both decided to mash the pedal. We were driving slowly about 40mph when they flew by us.

Not less than one second later I see red and blue lights and was immediately laughing my a$$ off. The patrol car pulled over the civic and the integra just drove off. This was the same ****y kid that was saying a few weeks before "I street race all the time and I never got caught." Also the same group of kids who go cruising friday nights looking for street races. I guess he got what he deserved... what are the fines and penalties for getting caught like that?

Sweet, another ****y hondah owner off the street. Score one for the saftey of innocent bistanders!

I dunno about where you live, but a town near here passed a new 'zero tolerance' law for street racers. Car impound and suspension of liscense.

yea i hear they're startin to crack down everywhere, that really sux, but i still think its much safer and funner to race on a track, but no thrill can match the street, jus the fear of getting caught alone, gives u that adrenaline rush ya know, and most people that street race arent doing it very dangerously, its not like theyr'e doing it in traffic jams

I cant speak for where you live, but around here kids are stupid and do race around town in traffic. It pisses me off. Glad to hear the cops were around to stop those boneheads, and props to you for being the resposible guy and not racing them.I'm under the opinion thatthe kids who street race, do it because they to scared to race on the track or drag strip with people who really know how to race, and know they would lose. That and and we also have "that movie" to blame (however, im not one to buy the "i saw it on tv, so its hollywood's fault" excuse). Now if i could just get the cops around here to be in the right place at the right time......

oh, and one more thing, whats with this "owned" thing? everybody is throwing it around. Guess im getting old and out of touch with the hip street lingo these days.:dunce

racing should be left for the track where real men go fast. Streets is for props, kids, and trouble
