I was wondering if companies or individuals are building turbo bottom ends for our cars? If so, could you list a contact and possible pricing.

Thanks

I have actually checked around and the places near me support domestic rebuilds. I have hard time sending work to the shops near me when they say something like yeah we have rebuilt one or two of those japanese engines. I know FlatLander Racing will rebuild our engines. But is there another source that is known for doing Nissan rebuilds.

What's it matter if they've not built many japanese motors? It's the same basic principles at work and the machine work is exactly the same for the most part. I would not hesitate to have a good machine shop that dealt mostly with domestics rebuild my motor as long as I knew they had a lot of experience and had dealt with performance oriented rebuilds.

My engine was built at a machine shop that does almost only v8's, granted they are mainly forced induction (blown/supercharged) V8's, they also build datsun road racing engine, salt flat engines, and airplane engines and have been in business for 30+ years. I had NO problem giving my engine to Brent and telling him he had a blank check.

machine work is machine work, from the standpoint of domestic versus import.from the standpoint of one shop to another, I suppose it could vary as far as quality or price.
