I just got my 240 and it needs a tune up badly. I'm gonna get the transmission and diff. fluid changed along with the oil. Also the air filter, spark plugs, fuel filter and the oil filter will be replaced.

Is there anything else that will possibly help ??

inspect all the belts, replace if necessary, retension if necessary.

If its a used car that you bought, I would inspect the brake pads, and replace the fluid and bleed the lines (just so you know that its ok).

while you are replacing the air filter...mind as well remove your resonater :D

I would get a throttle plate/induction cleaning service performed, then, after, and only after, go to the dealer and have them adjust the base idle. The cleaning service will bump up your idle, and you will need to have it adjusted. You need to unplug the TPS, to get to base idle, and depending on if you motor is an E, or DE, adjust the idle screw till the rps is @750 +/-50

How many miles are on the car? If you have over 100,000, try checking the distributor cap and rotor as well, it made a noticable difference in mine, and its a cheap and easy replacement. (About 35 bucks total).

108k miles. I'm pretty into car audio so i realize the difference wiring makes... do you think that maybe the spark spug wires can get old after having that much current go through them ?

when you replace the transmission and diff fluid, use royal purple. it improves hp, torque, and mileage

Don't use fram oil filters, they are the cheapest oil filters you can find.
