Get your attention?

There is someone that I know of, that builds upper and lower control arms for the custom scene. I sent him an email finally, asking him if he could build upper and lowers w/balljoints that would take the Hardbody spindle.

He asked me how many are interested.

So speak up, so I can get a price quote.

hmmm, too bad my 521 doesn't have balljoints, or is this a going to be a swap over kit from the kingpins?

Do they also fit 320's?  If so I would be interested.

This would be a swap-over.

I'm not sure if these will work on a 320, but I can look into it.

One thing of importance, this will be for swapping over to bags, no more torsion bars. This will probably work for juice and coil-overs too.

I don't have a ballpark, yet....soon.

Got a ballpark price. He says approx. $500 for a set.

That's what he charges for the tubular 720 arms, and he didn't see why there would be much, if any, price difference between those and the 521 ones.

hoping to make my second datsun a daily driver....hoping to lower it a bit too....whats the advantages and disadvantages of the torson bar and the air bagged tubular control arms....

$500 a set isn't too bad of a price....thats $1k to do the whole truck....

Here's the email I recieved from him:
uppers and lowers - everything you need - new upper and lower cross-shafts - balljoints - bushings and they come in raw steel

The way I read it, it's everything... both sides. I'll call him to be 100% clear on this.

Going tubular with bags will eliminate the need for torsion bars. It will ride like a Lincoln, or a Caddy.  Plus you'll be able to adjust your ride height instantly.

There are other costs involved too. You will need to purchase air bags, lines, compressors, gauges, fittings, valves and switches.

He'll build a preliminary set, as soon as I can get him a set of stock uppers and lowers to him to work with.

Anybody here in the NW got a set laying around that I can send him?

I haven't dropped the ball on this. It turns out that with the new vehicles hitting the market, he got himself swamped with orders, and is pretty backed up. Pretty much need to find someone else to do this. Sucks, but that's the way the ball bouces sometimes. I've already sent out some emails and I am waiting for replies.

I'm guessing this is kind of ancient, but did this ever go anywhere? Looking to buy or build a set of arms for my 521 using hardbody drop spindles and coilover...
