The other night I was going through my Cedric swapping all of the interior bulbs to LED. Every light in the car works great at with full brightness with one issue. The two front door step lamps don't work properly. I was rushing with them as it was getting dark and pulling the only bulb out with some pliers I accidentally bridged the contacts holding the bulb which killed the bulb immediately. When I went to swap in the LED it was super dim with the door open and full brightness with the door closed. Checked with the multi and now it's getting 7v with the door open and full 12v with the door closed instead of the other way around. This is only on the 2 front doors. The rear doors work fine (full brightness when opened, off when closed) and when all doors are closed the dome lights and curtain lights all turn off properly. All of the fuses were good but I swapped them all out anyway, also pulled the battery for 15 mins to try and reset the BCM but to no avail.

Any ideas floating out there?

I don't have a WD for a Cedric, but if the step lamps are driven off a separate circuit from the rest, you may have blown the drive transistor in the BCM. The most frequent failure mode for MOSFET transistors is melted short, not blown open.
