Trunk won't open

I have a 93 q45 and can't get the trunk open. The latch release under the door handle doesn't click so I changed fuse. Still doesn't work. The switch in the glove compartment is on and used key to open doesn't work. Used crow bar to hopefully pop the trunk open. Didn't work. Thankfully nothing broke. The salesman at the dealership said there should be a secret key release by back license plate in the shape of a hole on the right side of plate. Nothing there. ANY IDEAS???????

Yikes... that's a tough one. I've had the release latch fail, but not a problem with the key. There is not secret release near the license plate.

Do you have the remote? Hold down the trunk button for three seconds (well, if you hadn't tried that).
