Trunk - Rain run off spot -

Hey guys,

Don't know if you guys noticed this but.. Have you guys seen the spot where water collects right below the trunk hinges? (Where the hydraulics are placed to move the trunk up and down) Theres a ditch where, if it rains (Which it has been ALL WEEK here) water will collect and a puddle will form. As of now, both of the crevices are filled with water, dead leaves and matter. It resembles a swamp!

When I accelerate, a little bit of the water runs off, but not the stuff at the bottom, hence the swampiness. Anyways, I'm worried about rust.. Real worried. That place is in contact with water 24/7. Anyone else notice this and can diagnose this problem?

Yeah there are drain holes in there. I usually try to keep it clean every time I wash it so there's no "swamp" build up.

Just keep a rag in your trunk and every time you go out throw the water out.

For sure your drain holes are probably clogged with debris. Remove it all and poke something like a little stick in each one and pour a bit of water in to make sure they drain out OK. And like dangeris said, check it out whenever washing or opening the trunk so stuff doesn't collect there again...
