Make sure you have a new battery in the remote.

Over 4 years it has happened to me two or three times. Usually just turning the ignition switch on and off has cleared the problem.

Also check the lock out switch in the glove box

Thanks Telcoman.Neither fob nor inside opener work. Glove box switch is on. Fuse is good.Accessed trunk thru back seat and popped trunk. Don't see anything wrong with latch. Must be an electrical wire problem. Cost me $300 (with oil service) 6 months ago. Will try to wire check myself before revisiting dealer.

If you have a volt meter or a test light and can get at the latch, see if it gets power when you try to open it. As far as possible, find where you have power and where you don't. That should tell you what's bad.

What did they do to fix it the first time?

Check ground connection. Could be corrosion somewhere?

Thanks for the great info. 2007 G35 coupe and had the same thing happen, one day it worked and the next it didnt. I took apart the trunk wiring harness and part way through the rubber accordian wire duct the green wires were completely broken and the others were in poor shape. There are 5 wires in there, lite green for the stop lamp, dark green for the trunk lock, red for the clearance lite( I think) and 2 black grounds. I replaced the entire harness with one that is stronger. All of the OEM wires were kinked and cut in multiple places. All is good now. Cam.
