Time to return to reality from conspiracy and fantasy theories.

Officials Put ‘Unusual’ Limits on D.C. National Guard Before Riot, Commander Says

Maj. Gen. William J. Walker testified that he did not receive permission to deploy troops for hours on Jan. 6, as violence by pro-Trump supporters escalated.
https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/03/us/p ... -riot.html

"In response to questions from senators, General Walker said he believed that a double standard existed in the military decision-making, pointing out differences between the quick and aggressive tactics he was authorized to use during protests last spring and summer of police killings of Black men and the slower response to the violence of Trump supporters. He said military officials had expressed concerns about the optics of sending troops into the Capitol to subdue Americans.

“The Army senior leaders did not think it looked good” and did not think “it would be a good optic,” General Walker said. “The word I kept hearing was the ‘optics’ of it.”

When asked whether a similar debate had played out last year, General Walker said no.

“It was never discussed the week of June,” he said. “It was never discussed July 4, when we were supporting the city. It was never discussed Aug. 28, when we supported the city.”

We know who the incompetent Commander in Chief was on January 6th 2021 and we know who the incompetent people were who were in charge that day?
It was a fascinating congressional hearing to watch earlier today.
I'm sure you must have watched it?

What I found is more bad news for Trump!

Trump appointee to State Dept. Federico Klein arrested in Capitol attack; stunned mom says he was 'Boy Scout type'

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/pol ... 593783001/

"Klein was arrested Thursday in Virginia and faces charges including obstructing Congress and assaulting officers using a dangerous weapon."

The legal system moves slowly and many cases will still be going on well past 2024.
Lawyers will be making lots of money on Trump supporters.

"What is the role of the moderator?
A discussion moderator or debate moderator is a person whose role is to act as a neutral participant in a debate or discussion, holds participants to time limits and tries to keep them from straying off the topic of the questions being raised in the debate."

"What are the qualities of a good moderator?
This article from Quirks.com outlines the 7 most important qualities inherent any every great moderator.
• Natural curiosity. ...
• Ease in interacting with people. ...
• Ability to remain impartial, open, and unbiased. ...
• Flexibility. ...
• Strong verbal skills. ...
• Excited about the process of discovery. ...
• Creating comfort and trust."

It seems to me that the moderator of this forum does not understand the role of a moderator?

He is not impartial, unbiased, and does not interact well with those that disagree with his personal opinions.

But back to the topic of why Trump is the worst president in 20 decades is that Trump never had a clear vision of what he was going to do to improve the lives of the American people.
Trump was never able to reach out to those that did not vote for him. He attacks anyone that does not agree with him. Trump has never tried to reach across the isle and build a coalition to accomplish anything.
Trump spoke for over one hour at CPAC and not once did Trump give any plan for the future or the future of the republican party.
For more than five years, Trump and the republicans promised the American people that he had a better cheaper healthcare plan and tried over fifty times to repeal the ACA that was passed by the previous administration. The ACA is more popular than ever now and additional people are signing up in droves.
While Trump spoke at CPAC, only Fox carried his speech because he was repeating so many false statements that all the other cable channels will no longer allow their airwaves to be used for lies and attacks on others that did not vote for him.
Trump has repeated so many lies and false statements that Twitter and Facebook has removed him.
It is a great relief that we finally have a government in Washington that is beginning to erase the disaster of Trump and beginning to work and get relief to the American people from the pandemic that is now more than one year old.
We all remember from one year ago when Trump told us first it was a democratic hoax, the virus would soon go away, hydroxychloroquine would provide a cure along with injecting bleach, and the virus would be gone by Easter.
Trump became a super spreader of the virus by refusing to wear a mask and holding huge rallies as the rate of infections and deaths continued to rise.
Trump lost the presidential electoral vote by 306 to 232 that Trump called a landslide in 2016.
Trump lost the popular vote for the second time with 74 million votes compared to 81 million to a man that Trump referred to as sleepy. Americans thought otherwise.
Trump became so toxic that his presence in the Georgia runoff that allowed two democrats to be elected to the senate in more than 20 years.
The Supreme Court that Trump thought would propel him into a second term has just failed him.

You are doing the same thing here.
There is very little positive information in regards to the Trump presidency but you fail to become aware of it. You fail to mention it and attack me, the messenger pointing out Trump's failures.
Posting false and conspiracy information from questionable right wing websites is a failure on your part as a moderator. Only truthful verifiable information should be moderated by a moderator.
Trumps failure to manage this on going pandemic for more than a year and telling so many lies to the American people, failure to urge the public to wear masks, is the main reason why Trump lost not only the presidency, but the House and Senate as well.
Impeached twice, urged a violent insurrection of the US Capitol and you defend this a$$hole.
That reflects very poorly on you the moderator.

Many in GOP Hope Trump Loses in Court, Goes Away, Says Former Admin Member Miles Taylor

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics ... i=BB141NW3
""My prediction for this year is going to be that the Donald Trump who loves to win, win, win, is about to lose, lose, lose," the former administration official said.

"He's losing in the court of public opinion and he's about to lose, I would predict, in the people's court if charges are brought against him. A lot of Republicans are actually hoping that this will happen so that they can move on from Donald Trump."

Taylor's statements come as Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance is conducting a wide-ranging criminal probe to examine hush-money payments allegedly made to women connected with Trump, and whether his company manipulated the value of assets for loans and tax gains.

On February 25, Vance's investigation beefed up after the district attorney was able to obtain Trump's tax records. The Supreme Court previously allowed the former president's request to block subpoenas for his tax returns twice.

Along with Vance's probe, New York Attorney General Letitia James is also conducting a civil investigation into the Trump Organization, focusing on tax deductions and write-offs.

The former president is also facing a criminal investigation in Georgia for attempting to subvert the results of the 2020 presidential election by pressuring officials to find evidence of voter fraud.

Taylor, a vehement critic of the former president who penned an explosive New York Times essay in 2018 detailing an internal "resistance" within his administration, added Saturday that he believes Trump has committed numerous crimes.

"If you look at Donald Trump and his career long enough, you won't just see him break the law, you will see him set the law on fire," Taylor said.

"This is a man who has an almost clinical addiction to wrong-doing, whether its cheating at his golf game or cheating at governing...would it surprise anyone that he tried to cheat on his tax returns?" he added.

Since leaving the White House on January 20, the former president has been residing in his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, and has maintained a significant presence within the GOP.

During a fiery speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) last month, Trump hinted at the possibility of a 2024 presidential run after falsely claiming that President Joe Biden lost the 2020 election.

"Actually you know they just lost the White House, I may even decide to beat them for a third time," Trump said at the time.

Newsweek contacted Trump for additional comment, but did not hear back in time for publication.

What a jerk off.
It is quite clear who the jerk off is.

The previous toddler that occupied the White House is the one who never expected to win the presidency in 2016.
Four of the five previous presidents are urging all Americans to wear masks and get vaccinated. In fact the toddler kept his vaccination secret from the American people before leaving office. Not surprising since the toddler also refused to wear a mask and urge his supporters to do so.

The only previous president missing in urging all Americans to be vaccinated and wear a mask is the toddler. The one that was impeached twice. The one that had numerous bankruptcies, failed at running a casino, in fact failed at just about everything especially a pandemic that he left for his successor to clean up. He even managed to piss away all the money his daddy left him. Currently in debt over 400 million dollars and under criminal investigations in Washington, DC, New York, and Georgia.

There is some good news.

Fortunately I was able to receive my initial vaccine shot in only eleven days after the toddler left office.

More and more incompetence of Trump continues to be exposed daily.

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/16/us/b ... ular-story

"Now the incomplete border wall, already one of the costliest megaprojects in United States history, with an estimated eventual price tag of more than $15 billion, is igniting tensions again as critics urge Mr. Biden to tear down parts of the wall and Republican leaders call on him to finish it."

"Only a few miles were built in South Texas, the area most prone to illegal crossings. Instead, much of the construction, especially in the Trump administration’s closing days, has taken place in remote parts of Arizona where crossings in recent years have been relatively uncommon."

How Trump Steered Supporters Into Unwitting Donations

Online donors were guided into weekly recurring contributions. Demands for refunds spiked. Complaints to banks and credit card companies soared. But the money helped keep Donald Trump’s struggling campaign afloat.

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/03/us/p ... tions.html

"Stacy Blatt was in hospice care last September listening to Rush Limbaugh’s dire warnings about how badly Donald J. Trump’s campaign needed money when he went online and chipped in everything he could: $500.

It was a big sum for a 63-year-old battling cancer and living in Kansas City on less than $1,000 per month. But that single contribution — federal records show it was his first ever — quickly multiplied. Another $500 was withdrawn the next day, then $500 the next week and every week through mid-October, without his knowledge — until Mr. Blatt’s bank account had been depleted and frozen. When his utility and rent payments bounced, he called his brother, Russell, for help.

What the Blatts soon discovered was $3,000 in withdrawals by the Trump campaign in less than 30 days. They called their bank and said they thought they were victims of fraud.

“It felt,” Russell said, “like it was a scam.”

But what the Blatts believed was duplicity was actually an intentional scheme to boost revenues by the Trump campaign and the for-profit company that processed its online donations, WinRed. Facing a cash crunch and getting badly outspent by the Democrats, the campaign had begun last September to set up recurring donations by default for online donors, for every week until the election."

Trump Donors Fume Over Fine Print Which Allowed Campaign to Charge Their Accounts Over and Over

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics ... li=BBnb7Kz

"Another 78-year-old from California made what she thought was a one-time donation of $990 that wound up costing her more than $8,000.

The plan resulted in the Trump campaign refunding almost eleven percent of what it raised online in 2020, or more than $122 million, a figure that may increase as more claims roll in."

Trump only cares about himself and his supporters have to be the dumbest in our entire nation to continue to support him in my opinion.

Kevin McCarthy, Four Months After Jan. 6, Still on Defensive Over Trump

But Mr. McCarthy, the House Republican leader who could become speaker after 2022, says he needs to work with Donald Trump, who “goes up and down with his anger.’’

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/25/us/p ... trump.html

"BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Kevin McCarthy, the House Republican leader, was in an uncharacteristically dark place.

It was after the Capitol siege of Jan. 6, and he was getting pounded from all sides. He was being accused, accurately, of promoting President Donald J. Trump’s stolen-election lies. But Mr. Trump was still enraged at him for not doing more, and his supporters had just ransacked Mr. McCarthy’s office.

“This is the first time I think I’ve ever been depressed in this job,” Mr. McCarthy confided to his friend, Representative Patrick T. McHenry, Republican of North Carolina. “Patrick, man, I’m down, I’m just really down.”

Mr. McHenry told him to gather himself. “You’re dazed,” Mr. McHenry said, recounting the exchange. “You have to try to think clearly.”

As the end of the Trump presidency devolved into turmoil and violence, Mr. McCarthy faced a dilemma, one that has bedeviled his party for nearly five years: Should he cut Mr. Trump loose, as many Republicans were urging. Or should he keep trying to make it work with an ousted president who remains the most popular and motivating force inside the G.O.P.?

Mr. McCarthy chose the latter, and not for the first time. His extravagant efforts to ingratiate himself with Mr. Trump have earned him a reputation for being an alpha lap-dog inside Mr. Trump’s kennel of acolytes. Nine days after Mr. Trump departed Washington, there was Mr. McCarthy paying a visit to Mar-a-Lago, the former president’s Florida estate, in an effort to “keep up a dialogue” with the volatile former president.

“He goes up and down with his anger,” Mr. McCarthy said of Mr. Trump in a series of interviews during a recent 48-hour swing through Indiana and Iowa, and home to Bakersfield, Calif., which he has represented in Congress since 2007. “He’s mad at everybody one day. He’s mad at me one day.”

Now, nearly four months after Jan. 6, Mr. McCarthy continues to defend his support for Mr. Trump’s bogus assertions that the election was stolen from him. Friends say that he knows better and is as exasperated by Mr. Trump’s behavior as other top Republicans, but that he has made the calculation that the former president’s support is essential for his ambitions to become speaker after the 2022 elections, when Republicans have a decent chance to win back the House.

Pressed on whether he regretted working to overturn President Biden’s 2020 victory, Mr. McCarthy took the position that he did no such thing.

“We voted not to certify two states,” he said, referring to Arizona and Pennsylvania, whose slates of electoral votes Mr. McCarthy and fellow Republicans voted to challenge, despite offering no proof of fraud that would have altered the final tallies. But even if the Republicans’ challenge had been successful in those states, Mr. McCarthy argued, the electoral votes would not have been enough to tip the nationwide vote away from Mr. Biden. “And Joe Biden would still be sitting in the White House right now,” he said.

So what exactly was he trying to accomplish with his votes against certification on Jan. 6? “That was the only time that we could raise the issue that there was a question in the activities in those states,” Mr. McCarthy said.

On Sunday, Mr. McCarthy was further pressed by the “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace, who asked whether Mr. Trump had sided with the Jan. 6 rioters when the president told Mr. McCarthy in a phone call that day, according to a claim by another Republican House member, that the mob was “more upset by the election” than Mr. McCarthy. Mr. McCarthy had called Mr. Trump to tell him the mob had to stop.

Mr. McCarthy sidestepped, saying Mr. Trump told him that he would “put something out to make sure to stop this. And that’s what he did, he put a video out later.”

“Quite a lot later,” Mr. Wallace replied. “And it was a pretty weak video.”

Mr. McCarthy’s dodge speaks to his role as Mr. Trump’s chief envoy to Republicans in power. At 56, he is perhaps the most consequential member of his party in post-Trump Washington in large part because of his chance of becoming the next speaker of the House. Republicans need to win roughly five more seats to reclaim a majority in 2022, a viable prospect given that congressional districts are set to be redrawn and precedent favors nonpresidential parties in midterm elections. In contrast, Senate Republicans — deadlocked 50 to 50 with Democrats — face a treacherous map, with analysts viewing Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the minority leader, as less likely to command a majority after 2022.

Mr. McCarthy knows the surest way to blow up his speakership plans would be to alienate Mr. Trump, who relishes being both a potential kingmaker to his favored candidates and saboteur of those he is determined to punish.

“He could change the whole course of history,” Mr. McCarthy said, referring to the prospect that Mr. Trump could undermine Republican campaigns, or leave the party entirely. “This is the tightest tightrope anyone has to walk.”

As we approach the 100 day mark since the November election Trump and millions of his supporters still refuse to admit that Trump lost the election.

New York Attorney General Probe of Trump Organization Now a Criminal Investigation
The investigation is no longer ‘purely civil in nature,’ state officials tell the former president’s firm

"The New York attorney general’s office’s investigation of former President Donald Trump’s business now has a criminal component, a spokesman said Tuesday night, joining the Manhattan district attorney’s office probe and expanding a monthslong inquiry that until now had been focused on civil fraud.

“We have informed the Trump Organization that our investigation into the organization is no longer purely civil in nature,” said Fabien Levy, a spokesman for the attorney general’s office. “We are now actively investigating the Trump Organization in a criminal capacity, along with the Manhattan DA.”

The Manhattan district attorney’s office is conducting an investigation into possible bank fraud and other potential crimes. Separately, the top local prosecutor in the Atlanta area is probing whether Mr. Trump improperly tried to influence election officials last year."

"Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance's office is examining millions of pages of documents that include Trump's tax returns. "
Although Trump repeatedly promised to release his tax returns for more than five years he has failed to do so. Was there really an IRS audit preventing this?
Most likely not! Just another lie by the former president that still believes he won the 2020 election.

Will the former twice impeached, single term president that lost the popular vote twice still be a free man to attempt a third try for the white house in 2024?
Trump along with two of his former attorneys and many of those in his administration currently have major legal problems.

Watch this space.
