So my 78 620 is having issues......To start my truck was stolen (the ignition was punched)I got it back without the ignition and my battery and rims so I bought a brand new battery and ignition aswell as a new starter but now when I attach my negative terminal to the negative battery post (after I attach the positive of course)the negative sparks and my truck tries to start itself so I'm clueless

You have something in your ignition switch not correct. Are you 100% sure that the new switch is from a 620? Do you have the factory plug still on your wires or has it been "modified"?
