I have a '76 KC I bought from my brother in '93. He bought it in '83, I have been happy with it, but I'm looking to spruce it up a bit being I'm going to surprise his oldest boy with it as a gift when he turns 15 in one year. I'm having troubles finding carpet and new/used seats. Any ideas my friends? Everywhere I look the carpet is for Z models or newer pu's.

i have heard, with some trimming, the carpet kits from a 720 will fit. thats what i am going to do when i go to do the carpeting in mine. as for seats, since it is a KC, anything will fit if you dont mind some fab work. i had some Honda Prelude seats in my 73 for a while. they worked really well but it was a tight fit in a standard cab. if i had em in my KC they would have been great.

How about some pics of this project?

I'll be starting on our 620 project before long... as far as seats, I think most any modern crossover or small CUV seats would be great (CR-V, Rav-4, etc). The seats in mine are from an unknown vehicle, but they look like a sports car seat - only a little bulkier, and with pull-down armrests (like a captain's chair in a Suburban or something).

My '76 KC I bought this truck for $200 from my brother in '94, he bought it in '84. Now Iam going to hand it down to his oldest boy next year with with an agreement it is not to leave the family. He has spent many hours working on this truck with me having no idea its gonna be his someday! Im excited to pass it down! I love this truck and have spent many of nights/days working in the shop keeping her going! Hope you guys enjoy the pics!
