OK. So I have looked pretty hard for a rebuild kit for this fs5w71b/c manual trans that I have. I did find a website that has several various parts for the many different fs5w71 sub-models. My question is what difference does the sub-models have when it comes to just the synchro and bearing kits? I can see some variations between the older and newer versions of the b/c models from the Haynes book I have. But some of the sub-models are from the same year group as mine. which should mean that they are similar in build right?

Here is the website I found in question:

Should be, and usually the kits will contain parts for both variations (since they don't want to deal with returns, they'll include extra bits).

Bearings are usually the same, syncros are the diference between them.
