...ummm, why shouldn't this be a question? this is not a post in the general area forum but a 350Z manual or Automatic pollmono4lamar wrote:This shouldn't even be a question... Though if you could have a lower gear ratio like in my Rx7 would be nice though.
So you actually want to listen to your wife? Haha, anyway........if you have ever driven a stick for any lenght of time you would know that it becomes second nature, and you don't even think about it afte a while. The only way i would ever have an at is if I built a drag car. Mt is the only way to go for the track, and having fun on the twisties in the country.mx48 wrote:This question is like a talk radio topicIt gets everyone going, some take this seriously, some like to stick the knife in for fun. This topic on my 350z had hundreds of replys. Although mine is a AT, I will have to agree that a MT allows for better corning,(to control your rpm's) and better management of control overall. Some think that a AT is better suited for A "non sports car" but Nissan knows it will miss alot of consumer moneys out there, if it doesnt offer both. In my younger day I wouldnt have had anything but a MT, But now I can concentrate,(and actually listen to my wife) without the gear changing distractions. I love my AT, and if I have a wild hair up my arse,Triptonic baby. Go ahead beat me up for my opinion., its all good.
Hey Katy neighbor! Just curious on how you do against a sub 5 second Evo? Be honest now! They are fast even though a butt ugly box with four doors.Low_Cost wrote: Same here. I use it sometimes, especially if I'm at a stop light w/ an Evo or WRX next to me.![]()
I would have gone 6 speed man, but I got to drive in the city 5 days a week... plus I'm too young to afford two cars now.

I don't know about the auto's but on my manual there is a rev light and you can set it where ever you want it to come on so you shift right on time. I have mine set for 6400 so that way i'm looking at the gauge waiting for the 6700 mark, then shift. Basically the car has a built in user set shift light.simplewon wrote:Automatic. I don't run on a track and love the freedom. I cannot shift manually due to the rev limiter. Timeing is everything and the computer does it much better than I.
