I think automatics are great especially for a daily driver. I actually like them. but I have a problem with any automtaic car---I tend to fall asleep at the steering while cruising. This is a serious issue for me. Thats partly why all my cars are manuals. And even with a manual, to stay awake, I am always messing with revving the engine up and down. If I wasn't prone to falling asleep while driving in a consistent way, i would have bought an automatic. Again, I could be a victim of habit as my second car is also a manual transmission. I beleive many drag cars are automatic.

you're wacko jacko! maybe you just have a sleeping problem. Do you get at least 6-7 hours of sleep? j/k....Automatics are fun for a short time, but in the long run I would want a manual.

If the Enzo and the GTR only had a clutch pedal! I would have bought one already.

I have even declined driving a friend in an automatic trans car for safety reasons. He just did not understand how grave the danger he was facing if he allowed me to drive his auto trans.

I believe you could heat up some slicks and beat the auto off the line but...check this out... http://www.zcar.com/forums/read/5/1916100Well to my surprise the automatic won all 3 runs. The drivers switched cars and the automatic still won. I still don’t get it what does the auto have that the 6 speed doesn’t?

well automatic, obviously u cant shift whenever u want to. say ur on a track or even on street, tryna race somebody, wit manual, u can put it in certain gear knowing your going to launch in a lil bit but automatic, depending on how much ur pressing the gas it will remain at lower rpm. stuff like dat....

also, i mean...if u drive a sports car shouldnt it b manual? why do u think some cars are only offered in manual? Z offers both cuz they jus wanna make money. i see ALOT of autos for the Z's..which i dont understand.idk most people think sports cars=manual transmission kk n so do i haha

also i guess it will make a difference if the auto transmission has semi manual thing. BUT even dat, sometimes shifts down without me allowing it.

manual u can either save alot of fuel n bring out more performance. i think.. n so do alot of people haha idk

6 speed, IMHO sports cars should only come with a 6 speed, like my former S2000
