Transaxle broke off flush with transmission

My driver's side transaxle broke off flush with the transmission. How do I get the broken part out of the transmission?

I presume you mean the splined portion of the inner CV joint. Transaxle is a term for a FWD transmission, your transmission is one. The only way I know about to remove that is to drill and tap it, then thread a small slide puller into the tapped hole to yank the broken portion clear of the C-ring that holds it into the transmission.
