Anyone know the exact number of bolts on the bellhousing? I see 10 but I don't know if I'm missing any up behind the head and intake manifold.

Secondly, and MORE importantly, Does anyone have any special little tricks for getting that last (or 10th) bolt out of the bell housing that is right up behind the intake/head?

I've talked to people who said universals and extensions. (All I did was end up stripping one corner of the bolt )

Another friend said "skinny arm" it behind the intake manifold with a normal wrench... Well I can get the wrench on, but only one small enough to the point that I can't brake the bolt. (Either that or I am just really that weak)

Others have said remove the whole engine. As far as that goes it's not an option at this point as I don't have the extra cashflow to buy an engine hoist, or time to take the whole thing out where as I only need one mroe bolt to fix my trans

Just curious if anyone else has different tricks of the trade to @#%@#% off, right now I am feeling beat.

Support the tailshaft with a jack and remove the cross-member that supports the transmission. Slowly lower the transnission until you have enough room in there to get to the last bolt. I've done that many times on Pathy trans while I was working. Helps that I had air tools and a lift but it's the same principle.

Thanks for the trick. We ended up getting it off last night.
